Part did not fit like the original part but looked the same. Did not work and I did not return it because I had installed it.

Make sure your old starter has a plastic or metal gear
Got this for an old Murray mower and it fitted up easy and worked great. I discovered this starter motor has a metal bendix gear and the old one was plastic. You will destroy your flywheel if you use the metal gear. That is not the products fault my my over sight.

Bought 2... both were DOA
I bought one, installed it, it was broken. Thought it could be a fluke so I bought another one. That one didn't even come in original packaging and it also didn't work. In both cases, you can hear a buzzing noise, but the gear never spins. Save yourself time and frustration and shop somewhere else.
