Beautifully rendered figurines.
The Roman legionnaire and Spartan warrior are perfect additions for my bookcase of the Loeb Classical Library. They are beautifully detailed.

Awesome statue
Ill be honest. When I first saw, "made in china" sticker on the bottom I was skeptical. But As soon I pulled it out of it's packaging it felt solid and looked amazing. I have bought the legionary, Napoleon and Gaius Julius Caesar. The legionary is larger than both the other figurines (Caesar and Napolean). I have basically been a repeat customer three times, all same packing / manufacturer. Extremelly solid in the hand. Good quality. Yes, it is on the expensive side, BUT, I honestly feel it is worth it for the solidity and quality of the product. I will ABSOLUTELY be looking for an addition figure.

Brings Glory to Rome
You get a quality statue equal to its price. It's got some heft to it & looks great. Lots of intricate details on the soldier. Definitely a room enhancer.

Awesome rendition
The statue is great. Hefty when it comes to weight and very tall. Detail is incredible. If you are interested in the Roman soldier, this is perfect for you.

This product was pretty much what I had expected
This product was pretty much what I had expected, however, I thought it would be taller inspite of the advertised height. The top of the head should have reached 14" and then the spear the extra 2". $55 to $59 would have been more reasonable.S.T.

Roman Legions on the March!
I purchased both the “Roman soldier” and the “Roman Warrior.” I am extremely pleased with both statues. The detail is excellent. The Roman Soldier is a very good representation of the mid- to late 1st century CE period (from the reign of Claudius to early Trajan). The segmented armor of the Soldier is the kind most of us baby boomers are familiar with from movies such as Spartacus, Quo Vadis and Ben Hur, as well as all the old sword and sandal epics from Italy in the late 50’s and 60’s.The armor from these movies is based on inaccurate renderings from the Column of Trajan, which depicted the Dacian War and was a century after the time in which Spartacus and Ben Hur were set. As a kid, I didn’t realize it at the time, but the costuming of those old movies was like making a movie about Gettysburg and dressing the troops as if they were landing on Normandy on D-Day. Few people outside of classical history departments realized that ancient military uniforms evolved over time just as modern ones. The Roman Warrior is also excellent. It most accurately depicts a Roman legionnaire of the early empire (from Augustus to Claudius). It is also closest to the armor of a legionnaire of the late Republic (Julius Caesar). Both statues could be considered contemporary around the late 1st century when auxiliary legions (non-Roman citizens) were equipped with older chain mail (lorica hamata) and the regular (Roman citizen) legions were equipped with the segmented armor (lorica segmentata).

Detailed Roman Soldier
This statue is tall, finely detailed, and solid. It is a good illustration of military history, including the unique Roman spear.
