Fudge Paintbox Creative Conditioning Colour - Raspberry Beret (2.5 oz.)

I have medium auburn hair, and in the past used to use this to just colour the under part of my hair... just for kicks. I never EVER needed to pre-bleach to see the colour show up, or keep it from being affected by my natural colour. It never looked "orange-y", despite the orange tone of my actual hair (which is one reason I would chose a bluer/purple pink than a redder pink, to help avoid an orange tone). When I would do this, I'd just let it fade out and grow out on its own, never paying particular attention to if it ever fully faded out, as I'd either cut my hair or redye it at some point. Fast forward about a decade, I had the itch for pink hair again. October 2014, I discovered that this existed again (it had disappeared for a few years), so I bought it. And this time, I went full on, no holds barred, whole head pink (pics attached, indoor and outdoor lighting - NO BLEACH). I LOVED IT!!! For about a week. XD Then, I started missing my actual hair colour. That's nothing against the dye, it was just me and my personality. However... trying to get this stuff out of my hair??? HA! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Oh boy..... That was a long and painful road, and, there's STILL some lingering tint in my hair in some areas (April 2015), creating a different shade of auburn that just doesn't *quite* look natural (one spot looks a bit burgundy, but it's underneath, so it's well hidden). Luckily, it's *barely* noticeable now (I'm probably the only one who can tell)... but for MONTHS after I got most of it out, I looked like I had fake auburn hair. And that saddened me. I almost... almost... broke down and bought auburn dye to cover it up, but I held firm and waited.Btw, Color Fix and Color Oops are not designed to work on this type of dye, so in most cases will not work. Didn't for me. What did help was using vitamin C powder in dish soap. For two days, at least 6-8 times in a row, I'd apply the mix, rub in, sit for 30 minutes, rinse, air dry until merely "damp", and repeat. That trashed my normally soft healthy hair, so I started doing oil hot treatments... and I discovered THAT removed even more stubborn dye!!! I did a mix of melted butter (yes, butter), melted cocoa butter and orange oil (for smell, to compliment the cocoa butter smell... mmmm yum!). I think the orange oil had the colour removing effect, as orange oil can clean glue off of things. So, I finally managed to bring my colour close to "virgin" and made it super soft again. I say "close", but it still isn't fully "virgin" even now.This stuff sticks around, and like glitter it is never fully gone. The initial colour may fade rapidly for some (I was still a decent pink a month after applying, and roots growing in... before I finally tried to forceably remove it), but overall, I think most people will find it lasts a good long time and it's never going to fully want to leave your hair completely. Even when you try to evict it.

Really nice colour, fades into a nice cotton candy pink, just washes out a bit too quickly for my liking.

It still bled onto pillowcases and towels and faded to pink by the end of a month. Not much better than Splat or other store brands.

My favorite colour! Use to dye my hair this colour atleast twice a year but I couldn't find it anywhere anymore. Kind of annoying having to order it fr the UK buuuuuut it's ALWAYS worth it!

Es war schnell und unkompliziert.Farbe ist ganz toll und hält noch länger wenn man sie 60 Minuten einwirken lässt.

Allerdings habe ich diese Farbe mit Flamingo Pink von Fudge gemischt. Aber der Mischton ist der absolute Hammer und ist mir besser gelungen, wie bei jeder anderen Marke.Die paar Euro die dieses Produkt teurer ist lohnen sich, denn die Qualität und die Pflege Stimmt aufjeden Fall.Haltbarkeit ist nicht wirklich besser wie bei anderen Produkten, allerdings kann dies mit den Pflegeprodukten von Fudge einbisschen verlängert werden. Bei mir hielt es 2-3 Wochen kommt allerdings auch auf das jeweilige Haar an!Viel Spaß!

I don’t normally write reviews but had to on this product and all I can say it wow 😍 I needed something to keep my hair bright in between going to see my hairdresser and I recently decided to go purple/red and after the first wash the colour just went really dull, so I wanted to keep it bright in between and came across this product Fudge Paintbox Raspberry Beret and wow it’s taken so well and I’m so happy with the results 💖 I know it’s semi permanent so when I wash my hair it will also fade, but it’s so easy to apply I know I can keep my colour bright within visits to the salon. Really happy 5 stars hands down 👍🏼

Always good product and lasts ages in my hair. Much cheaper than going back to the salon over and over. Small tip I heard was to rinse your hair with 1 part white vinegar and 1 part water then rinse with cold water. Keeps the colour locked in for longer. Just wish they made this in permanent rather than semi!!
