I'm a landscape designer. Inaccurate measurements can cost me or my client. This is a very accurate instrument. Something I have been lacking with my previous wheel. The wheel is very well constructed. Im pretty sure the wheel itself is an alloy of some sort. The telescoping handle is aluminum, well designed and quite a bit longer than I expected, with a comfortable handle. The wheel stops spinning as soon as it's lifted, which is a bonus. I have gained a foot from exuberant measuring with my previous wheel. Impossible with this one. The analog counter is old school and bulletproof. The kickstand folds up and out of the way next to the reset button on tbe counter. Its easy to deploy with your foot, and just as easy to stow. I can't be happier with my purchase. I have seen no down side to this wheel. If you've been shopping around for a $50 measuring wheel that looks, works, and feels like a $150 wheel, stop. You found it.

Like this wheel. Had the 00-300 which I used for about 12 years. It finally broke last month 😁 I decided to get RT312 because it can reverse its count, the handle can telescoping, and the wheel is off set. The 00-300 was very dependable but the in-line wheel did get frustrating to use when there was gravel present. The pebbles kept getting stuck between the frame and the wheel. It's amazing that the folding handle didn't break. The RT312 I have seems to be accurate when compared with surveyed station marks. Also compared it with a Keson RRT12 and it measured the same. There are a few things I don't like about it. The handle is two pieces of plastic placed together. I can feel the pieces moving when I grip the handle firmly. Also the counter reset doesn't reset the first digit (inches) to 0. it's slightly off. Also the digit wheels are recessed pretty deep in the plastic housing. This produces a shadow which makes it hard to read certain numbers.

The wheel works great, glides smoothly and seems to be accurate when I compare it against another wheel I have. I use it for measuring cross country courses for college and high school meets and I am used to me older orange "clicking" model, so it took some time to get used to not listening for the click sound. When I run them side-by-side they come up with the same measurement, so I believe it to be very accurate. The handle is adjustable and comes to a decent height (I'm 5-10 and it is a good handle height for me). I like the "gun" style handle, and it is of a size that is very comfortable to hold. Kickstand works great too and tips to the side to use it, so the wheel doesn't roll forward when you stop. Comes already assembled, just adjust the handle and you are ready to use it right out of the box - no set up necessary. Black and bright yellow colors are appealing as well - sharp looking.

I researched for both quality and price before I decided on this tool. I find it to be very effective in measuring both indoors and out. The fold up kick stand is great and the telescoping handle is great also, it works much like a camera tripod stand. It exceeded my expectations after some other negative reviews. People need to remember that nearly everything is mass produced and there will be faulty items made. More people like to gripe than praise. Over all a fine product.

The telescopic handle would not hold in place anymore. It keeps rotating and retracting on its own.

I like that it's in metric which is what I need. It has a big wheel, great for rough terrain. The stand works well. The telescopic handle works well.
