The Three Nutcrackers Chocolate Advent Calendar (Countdown to Christmas)

I brought this advent calendar for my dad for Christmas as he collects Nutcrackers and though it was a cute idea. My dad loved the piece of chocolate once a day as he is an older guy and doesn’t eat many sweets. Plus the detail and all of the colors were amazing. This was a winner as giving the gift and as my dad receiving the gift!

This calendar has a full 8 ounces of chocolate, compared with other chocolate calendars which only have about 2 ounces. The chocolates are wrapped as gifts and add to the festive nature of waiting for Christmas. The picture on front is quite colorful and sure to delight children of all ages. So happy with this purchase.

I decided to send these to my grown daughters and they loved getting them. They said the presentation was super cute and just fun. Candy was delicious. They said they will make them their new tradition each Christmas to come!

I’ve wanted to buy an Advent Calendar now for about three years. When I saw this one I thought “oh, this is so beautiful”. Is is, but there are some things I would have done differently, had I designed it. I was disappointed in the condition mine was received.The box was bent and crushed. And some of the Candy was jumbled about. But fortunately, not crushed. The Candy is in a tray, that is strategically placed behind the little tabs. Each day a Tab is opened and a verse from The Poem: “Twas The Night Before Christmas” is read and the piece of Candy is removed. Each piece of the Candy is wrapped to look like a Christmas Present.I had to fix up my box and tray. Since the candy had gotten jumbled I had to pull out the tray and I tried to reshape it. Then I put the candy back in the tray. I also did my best to straighten up the box and smooth out the crinkles. So what would I have done differently?I would not print the writing onto the front of the box. That takes away from the beauty of the box. I would have a separate wrapping printed and sealed around the box. And I would have printed it on the back of the box too. And since the material of the box is so thin, I would either make a stronger box or tray to help hold the shape of the box. Or I would packaged the “thin box and tray” the way it is and place it inside of a sturdier box which can be ready for gift giving.I know that an idea like this would raise the cost of the Calendar, but it would be well worth it, if it can be reused. I plan to keep mine even if I can’t get more Candy, because I like the Poem on the Tabs. There are still some to be straightened, which I couldn’t do yet without opening them. And I will keep the tray to help hold the shape of the box.Without discussing so much detail about the Candy I will divulge that Per Piece: It has Fifty Calories, Three Grams of Fat, Ten Grams of Sodium and Six Total Grams of Carbohydrates. Also for those of us who has already had plenty of Thanksgiving Day Dinner, this entire Box Of Candy will net on another Twelve Hundred Calories. This definitely applies to me, because I bought this for myself. The Candy is Milk Chocolate, delicious, and perfect as a Bite-Sized Piece of Candy per Day for Twenty-Four Days.

Liked the design of the package, the chocolate is good, disappointed that the package arrived crushed in and damaged on the top of this calendar, we decided to open it and just enjoy the chocolate and not wait for Dec. 1st.

I bought this as a gift for my 10 yr old nephew. He loves Nutcrackers. Both he and his mother were very impressed by the quality of the calendar and the chocolates. And my nephew said they were delicious! Highly recommend!

I buy these advent calendars for older kids . They have bigger pieces in eah day than the other chocolate filled ones made by Vermont Calendar company. As I give them every year, I appreciate that new designs are usually added each year or so. Also, appreciate the fact that the chocolate doesnt slide out of its slot like I have had happen wit other calendars. The chocolate is not fabulous but is a step above what is inside cheaper ones you can purchase in grocery stores.

Me gustó que llegó antes de tiempo y que el poema era bastante peculiar. Los chocolates podrían ser de mejor calidad. En resumen no estuvo mal; pero el año que entra probaré otra alternativa.
