Big Joe Dorm Bean Bag Chair, Flaming Red

I purchased this chair for my son's room so he would have a comfortable place to sit while playing video games. He's obsessed with everything red right now, so he loved the color and the fact that it has a drink holder. He doesn't use it every day but it's help up well with no tears and has stayed fairly firm in the seat. I've tried to use it a few times and it's ok, but too low to the ground for me to use for long. It might be more comfortable for a smaller adult. What impresses me most is that our cat randomly peed in it when my son was gone and we didn't catch this until he returned days later and opened his door and were hit by the smell. The pee didn't soak in. So I blotted it up and took the chair outside and applied pet carpet cleaner, scrubbed, and sprayed it down with the hose a few times. I left it outside overnight to dry and it's been fine. We don't notice a smell.

My nephew asked for a recliner like his Poppa's for Christmas. Kid sized recliners are VERY, VERY spendy and difficult for a kid to move around with them. So, I researched and ordered this for him and he absolutely LOVES IT. Plus his name is Joe...so the chair had his name on it. He really liked that part. Even the adults like to sit in it. The only BAD thing about it is that after the sit in it and jump around the beans all squished out of the seat and he ended up sitting on the floor. I bought a bag of the foam beans and refilled over half a bag wroth back into the chair. That was about 4 or 5 months of him using it. Let's just say that was NOT FUN or easy. Have a helper, a scooper and a vacuum handy. There is a double zipper on the opening so beans don't accidentally come out. That's a GREAT feature. I think every kid needs one of these.

Ok, I never write reviews, but, I just had to after seeing some of the bad reviews. There seriously has to be some special people out there giving this 1 star and saying it's flat to the floor. Some of the pictures are ridiculous, almost like they completely emptied the chair of its filling. I can't understand going through all that trouble just to write a bad review. This chair is awesome straight out the box! I purchased 2 giant bags of bean filling because of the misleading bad reviews and now I don't need them. Don't believe the 1 star reviews, seriously, some people impress me by being able to allow their body the ability of its involuntary functions. Breathing must be so difficult for them. Just buy the chair and enjoy.

My children are children, they sit down fast and jump up quick, normal wear and tear for a gaming/chill chair. All the friends liked them, they ended up being incredible floats in the pool.

I have purchased a few different items by this company and I actually really like their products the chair fits great in my living room my five-year-old son loves it absolutely loves it we've had no problems with it yet and also it was filled so good no problems with the feeling or being bag filling I hate finding reviews on here that are very upsetting and disturbing I don't understand why there's so many bad reviews on this product lot of customers were unsatisfied unfortunately but however I am completely satisfied with what I purchased I've had no problems with this product I just purchased it last week and it arrived on time love this chair and also beanbag would recommend this to my friends for their children I said in it myself and I fit fine and I'm 160 no problem I'm 5-8 I had no problem sitting in this chair

This is great for little kids. My 5’ kids are too tall, so maybe k-5th is a good size. As for “dorm”, there is no way any normal sized college bound kid will fit in this. Also, tell your kids to sit in it before you let them cut up the box. It is a good light portable chair for little kids. But it is not really a “bean bag” chair. Since my kid immediately turned the box into a castle when he opened it, I will be donating this to one of our friends with small kids. It will be great for them.

Purchased as a gift for my 9 year old niece. She loves it! The pockets on the side are flesh with the side of the chair so you can't put anything with much width in them. The chair is pretty comfortable as well. It forms around you and goes right back to its original position when you get up. I can't imagine this being all that comfortable for anyone over 4.5ft tall, or 100+ lbs, for more than a few minutes though. I sat in it to test it out and I am 5.5ft tall and 130 lbs. It was comfortable for about 10 minutes.

I bought this chair for my 5 year old so he would stop sitting in my favorite chair! He loves it. Unfortunately, it lost its shape very quickly and is now more of a lump than a chair. Keep in mind how young he is and that he dragged it from room to room and more...in the hands of a college student or for use in a rec room, it might keep its shape much longer. Even as a lump, he sits on it all the time.

The 6 year old and 18 month old sometimes fight over this chair. But sometimes they're adorable and sit together. Needless to say it's a hit in our house. Cheaper than store prices too

would be nice if more colors were available, and a softer exterior - not plastic

I had a lot of hope for these and I am no doubting whether I should buy another one which I had intended. The quality if the material is great but the fillings age already flattered out and this is with very little use. It doesn't seem to have had enough to begin with.The quality of tuevbag has deterrirated further with the filling being very flat...

I bought this for my 12 year old son and he's average height and very slightly underweight for his age group and he just fits this chair. It's alright overall. But doe NOT seem large enough for an adult (even a skinny one) to sit on.
