Great produc for completely reasonable price. This remote came promptly upon payment. The Satechi Bluetooth Smart Pointer Mobile Presenter supports Bluetooth 3.0 HID. It is built solid, have owened two for over two years that have been tested over and over dropped, thrown throughly used, and still work like day I purchased them. It's compatible with iOS devices & any computer with Bluetooth, as well as Apple TV 1-4. I have used it with 27' iMac, iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6 Plus & 6s Plus iPad 1-4, iPad Mini 2-4, iPod Touch 3- 6, MacBook, MacBook Pro. As well as several Android Devices. Also several projectors. The point here is I have yet to run into issues with Bluetooth connectivity, always FAST & STRONG connection up to 30 + feet (3 meters) depending on intrusions in connection i.e. walls, doors, bushes, trees. This remote allows you to control your smart devices without even touching them, scroll through pages of APPS, opening APPS etc. I personally bought this remote to control iPhone Camera wirelessly for great camera angles I could not have achieved otherwise. Number touchpad underneath slide cover is great for any pesky Bluetooth device requiring 4 digit PIN CODE. Laser Pointer works great as well! For the price you can't beat the quality, software & hardware. I have tried several Bluetooth remotes, this one is superior by far. Few products do I give such a A+ review, but Satechi really thought about everyone while designing this Bluetooth remote.

Maybe it is something I am doing wrong, but I cannot get this bluetooth controller to connect to ANY bluetooth device that I have. The laser pointer works fine - whoopee! Tried an iMac, Macbook (the one I bought this for), and an iPad - they don't even see the Controller...

At first I was going to be disappointed because the remote did not pair with my MacBook Pro, but after chatting with Satechi Tech (Very fast response), they mentioned to PRESS AND HOLD the pairing button and that solved the issue. Remote paired and works as intended for Powerpoint. Nice compact size, decent red laser pointer.

I bought this because I needed to make a presentation and would likely only have my iPad available. Before purchasing, I contacted Satechi tech support to compare models and be sure it would meet my needs. They responded quickly and were very helpful.I have used the remote to control Keynote presentations from my iPad and MacBook Pro. Both worked well.Pros:- small, fits easily in my hand- lightweight, I did not tire of holding it during 45 minute presentations- easy to hold, so I didn't have to worry about dropping ti- easy to use - be sure to read the online instructions, as the pairing process was apparently updated after the printed instructions- and works reliably.Cons:- As of when I bought it, Satechi said it wouldn't work with PowerPoint on iPad. I haven't tried that, though.- Feels very light, which could be interpreted as cheaper construction (but also makes it easy to hold)Overall, I recommend this remote as a reasonably priced, well thought out presentation remote.

I bought a new macbook (2015), which doesn't have a USB port on it, so needed to trade in my long time favorite logitech presenter pointer for a bluetooth model, like this. It works fine. Definitely is light in your hand (I'd prefer a little more weight, as the plastic makes it feel cheap).Negatives to me:You have to charge it with a cord (yet another thing I have to keep track of in my backpack) - wish it had batteries.It doesn't have much of a ridge around the buttons you press - too smooth over the whole area where your thumb goes to advance a slide - they should make the button to advance more raised, as no one wants to look down every time they want to click something.Positives:Pairing was fast and easy.Number keyboard is hidden (not sure I need this part, but it was nice for pairing - could easily enter the pairing number my computer wanted from the pointer).Overall, the negatives are pretty big to me. I wish I'd held one in my hand before buying. I won't return this, and will make it work. But wish I had purchased a different one (wish logitech made a similar long bluetooth model - would have bought that).

This device does do all it is claimed to do but there are some serious deficiencies when using in iOS. Functionality requires you to enable voiceover and then mute your device, to prevent hearing all the text read aloud. SO if you use Keynote with embedded audio/video you have a problem from the get-go - no sound. It must be said in fairness that you can play audio and video fine using the multimedia setting, just not via Keynote. Additionally in order for Keynote animations to work the same 'voiceover' capacity makes these animations work by placing a nice black frame around the objects to be animated, one by one! So not at all aesthetically pleasing. If iOS is part of your reason for purchase and you run Keynote presentations with key design elements then I don't recommend unless a workaround for these problems is found. I contacted support who admitted that it was not possible. Have asked them to make these drawbacks clear in the information they post about this device.

I was very happy with this product and used it for several months. I am a PE teacher. School just started again and now it’s not working. I’m really bummed! Seems like maybe it won’t charge. I go to connected to my phone and it won’t connect. The LED briefly shines red when I’m charging it and it should light up blue when I try to connect it but I don’t get any light at all.

Sorry, I really do not like writing bad reviews but this is bad.It was always going to be an expensive product. It took a long to be delivered and I had to pay a further £12.38 import duty.Then I found that it did not work with Keynote on iOS, which is why I bought it in the first place. It may have worked with a previous versions of the software but it did not live up to the explicit statement that 'Mobile Presentation Remote: Works with Keynote on iOS (in accessibility mode)'On the positive side if did work with Powerpoint on iOS. I am going to keep it because I cannot face the hassle of returning it to Japan. No-one else seems to have cracked the problem, including Apple with their solution of using another iOS device. But poor show Satechi.
