Bur3151-Black Grout Pen

These pens were awesome! Paint always kept a consistent flow and the wider tip made it fit perfectly in the grout line. I did need to do two coats so needed to buy another 2 pack, but they worked great! I included a before and after pic. I used white and it even brightened up the floor.

We purchased an older house with plans to renovate over the next year. The kitchen counters are white tile and the grout was dirty brown. The cabinets and counters are one of the last renovations we will make so I purchased these to attempt to make the kitchen less of an eye sore for the time being. With little expectations and nothing to lose, I cleaned the counters and began. The counters are about 68 sq ft. I did 2 coats with 3 packs and have some left for touch ups. The results are impressive! These counters went from outdated and plan gross looking to looking new, clean and modern. I actually kind of like them now! After cleaning the grout line with the brush included. I did my first coat along each line. My grout lines are thinner than the tip so a small amount did get on the tile edges. I waited 20 minute then ran a rag up and down all edges to remove the pain on the edges. It came off the edges very easily. The grout lines looked great after just the first coat but there were a few spots the paint didn’t settle into well. 2 days later I did the second coat and the coverage dried perfect. It has been 3 weeks now and the grout is still perfect. The grout lines have not been affected so far by cleaning the counters, spills ect. A great way to spruce up old dingy grout lines!

PROS: it does go on well. It is white. Which is what I asked for. It lasts a decent time if not sealed and even longer if it is. Comes with two pens and two applicator replacements (which are needed.) CONS: Looks a bit chalky once it is dry. The pen doesn't cover a whole lot. Order up.

A little backstory of the before picture. I recently moved into my house and the previous owners had painted the grout white (the original color being grey). Since this section of tile is at the front door and in a high traffic area, the white paint faded where the most foot traffic was. When cleaning the grout, more of the paint would disappear and it was just a huge eyesore to me. I looked at reviews for many products wanting the original grey grout and to rid myself of the white. There wasn’t many examples of the grey so I knew I’d be making a review of this one. First of all, you need to know that this a labor of love and you truly get what you put into it. The pen is thick even at its thin angle and will not perfectly fit between most tiles. That being said, it cleans off of the surrounding tiles when wiped with a damp cloth. I also took a toothpick to the edges once completely dry to remove any access paint I missed. For this area, I didn’t have to change tips because you don’t need to press hard. I also have a lot of extra paint left in the pen and didn’t have to crack into the 2nd one in case I need to do touchups, which is great. The cap to the pen isn’t tightly secured so I don’t know how well it would be to re-use an opened pen at a later time. I’ll update this review when I try. I’m also curious to see how the paint stands the test of time! Very happy with the color and the results. I would purchase again.

I recently received the Sealer Paint Pen with the hope of addressing some chipped and missing grout in my bathroom shower. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to discover that this product merely colors the grout white with ink instead of providing an actual repair solution. This outcome was not in line with my expectations or desires for a product marketed as a tile repair sealer pen. As the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. While the pen is easy to use, and the white color effectively covers up dirty grout, it falls short of fixing the underlying problem. Overall, my experience with this product was disappointing, and I would not recommend it for genuine grout repairs. If you're solely seeking a quick color touch-up, it might serve that purpose. However, for those needing to address damaged grout, I would suggest exploring alternative products that offer more comprehensive solutions.

The grout wasn’t sealed properly previously and stained and no matter of product or scrubbing could refresh it. Now they look brand new!!!

This stuff is AMAZING! I purchased another brand on here and it was no where as good as this one! Super easy to apply, nice bright white and good coverage! Love that they include extra tips. I found that I needed 2 per pen. Would buy again for sure! I used this with and without some grout repair that I also bought on here to revitalize and clean up my shower stall. I did 2 coats for the most part and I did a sealer afterwards to help keep it clean for as long as possible.

This would be 5 stars if it had stain blocking—HUGE visual improvement to grout lines that were stained vivid blue by a leaking toilet bowl time release cleaning cube. I mean BLUE DYE everywhere. I tried 4 serious cleaning products and the grout was permanently blue so decided to try paint. The dye was many months old so technically dry. The pen was easy to use and one pen with one nib lasted the entire project 4’x8’ floor—i used 8 applications on some lines. I do have leftover nibs and pen for future touch ups 1 coat made a difference but it does not have a stain sealer so the blue dye would bleed thru as it dried. Probably would not have been as much an issue with just a grimy surface. I used about 8 coats over 3 days on the worst areas to get my final results which i can live with happily. All my work was on the floor so gravity helped the paint feed nicely. Couldnt say how a wall would be. Also my tiles were white and had a tiny white margin which made a big difference in how good the white paint looked because it masked any sloppiness. A dark tile would have been much harder for this perfectionist. You do need a steady hand. Overall a win! Ive included before and after pics.

Just started this project and these pens are working well. We botched grout job somehow and it dried multiple shades and looked bad. These pens fixed it !
