So I originally bought this bundle cause I was on a bit of a time crunch to replace my old, cheaper neewer mic. I am only using the Rode PodMic and the XLR cable.The Rode microphone straight out of the box is an absolute TANK, great build, the mount thread has two sizes to accommodate for the standard arm mounts. I like that it tilts on its mount, makes for a much less awkward positioning similar to side profile mics.I am running it through a Scarlett 2i2, using phantom power and outputing it through Voicemeeter.Add a bit of EQ and Noisegate and this is a perfect stream/broadcast mic.The quality of the sound is loads better, the highs are nice and crisp, I added a tiny bit to the lows and it sounds great! The internal pop filter is a great feature, unless you really try, and get very close to the mic, you almost never will experience plosives. The design is also an eye catcher.Very happy with Rode’s quality product.

When I was in the market to upgrade our podcast setup from a single Blue Yeti mic, my first thoughts were to look at the Shure SM7B, as they are the "known" mics for podcasting in many circles. But listen, shure they are great, but for $400+ you can buy 4 Rode mics and be on the Rode to a successful podcast without anyone knowing the difference in sound quality. In fact, they may even say that it sounds better. I watch many YouTube reviews of the mics compared to each other and the Rode Podmic came out on top in many cases as the best true bang for your buck. It's a solid built mic with amazing range and looks slick as well.There are no bumps on this Rode. Okay, I'm done with the puns!

I’ve used lots of mics throughout my career…most of the time, I’d tell anyone who is looking that “you get what you pay for…” but that’s not the case with the Rode Podmics… I’ve used mics that are a few bucks cheaper and the sound quality is so much better than those that are a few bucks less! I’d even venture to say that the sound quality of my Rode podmics are on par with my Shure SM7B, which is a much more expensive setup. They all have their places, but this is a really great product for a fair price.
