VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!
My heart sank when I heard the driver chuck the package on the porch, especially when I picked it up and found it wrapped in one ply flimsy plastic bag. HOWEVER, the manufacturer had wrapped the 4 boards in a tight clear plastic and supplied heavy duty plastic corners, saving the unit from breakage/denting. A real feat, as the wood is pretty soft. I make pretty nice art and have to save money on supplies, but still want the substrate to be decent. Very happy to not have to return or "make do."

Great - but read if you do STRING ART
It’s a great product and worth the money. They stain nicely and have a variety of uses. However, if you are doing string art you may want to reconsider. We did a simple string art project and it worked nicely. But when we did a more complex one (with more nails,) it quickly split the wood. Not the fault of the product, they’re just not the best boards for string art. Still would buy again for other uses.

Usually great but some quality control issues lately.
I've ordered these several times and usually they are great. In my last order though, one of the panels had flaw right in the middle. If I used that for a painting it would be unsellable. Also in my last order one of the panels had a ragged seam that required alot of sanding to be usable. Hope this does not continue. I don't want to have only 2 usable panels in each order of 4.

AWESOME
Very nice wood panel canvases...I have been wanting to do some paintings on these for some time now,I have used standard canvases for more years than I would care to admit.If you have been contemplating using these,I say GO FOR IT! You have nothing to lose.These will open the door to more techniques that you cannot do on a standard canvas.

Great product
I decided to use them for xmas gifts. I drew things they liked on them and painted then. They were wonderful light and sturdy. The perfect size to. I will probably purchase some more.

Are they REALLY birch?
I use these for lasering. The issue I have is that I have my doubts as to whether the faces of these panels are really birch. Looks more like basswood to me - the grain is much more prominent than birch would be.
