I Can Be a Science Detective: Fun STEM Activities for Kids (Dover Science For Kids)

Experiments in here are super fun and interesting but some are super simplistic and the book is kind of short

I got this for a spy training "camp" I set up for my son and two nieces. This book is simple enough for a 5 and 6 year old to understand and also fun enough that the 16 year old enjoyed the experiments in it. I couldn't find any spy things that were really geared towards young kids, but this was perfect and exactly what I was looking for! They learned things but still had fun. They had no idea they were learning as they just saw it all as "spy training". Perfect addition for any homeschooling family who likes doing fun themed learning!

My daughter is 9yrs old and loved this! She completed it within a week. She was excited to learn how to do fingerprints using tape and paper.

Easy to understand, informative activities that make learning more interesting.

I bought this to do with my grandsons (ages 8 & 13). I have read through the book and I am impressed with the variety of experiments. The activities can be done without expensive items. For example, you can extract DNA from a strawberry with items found in the home.

Bought for my 6yo, it is full of fun experiments and information, which allow her to learn without it becoming boring. She has an interest in detective work and forensics, and this is helping to really engage her with the subject. We look through it together and I help her with what she needs, meaning that we both have fun. Love it and have already recommended it to friends. The experiments don't require anything too strange and are not too tricky, so it's ideal to have around the house for a quiet afternoon or a rainy day.
