- California Umbrella 50 lbs. Round Concrete Weighted Powdercoated Steel Umbrella Base, White Frame

I had originally bought a stand from Lowes, (but 40lbs) same concept (concrete base/etc.) it "cracked" on the first day of use. Found this one on Amazon for cheaper! And it's 50lb. So far so good, looks well made and nice that it has a cover on the bottom so the concrete powder doesn't get everywhere. ALSO, I was a little hesitant to buy this because it looks super duper glossy-gloss black in the pictures, however IRL, it's just a regular black, not glossy looking. That was a nice surprise. Def recommend, price is great for the quality and weight!

So far it works perfectly for our patio umbrella. Wide stance and heavy. I would recommend for sure.

I would not recommend this umbrella base. The threaded ring that the umbrella pole screws into is made of cheap, brittle material and broke off far too easily during normal use. Once that ring failed, the entire base became completely unusable because there are no replacement parts available.The rest of the base seemed solid, but the one component that actually secures the umbrella is poorly designed and made from low-quality material. A small part failure shouldn't mean throwing away the entire product. Save your money and look for a better-built alternative.

Looks good shipping carton was pretty tattered but it was the original carton from "California Umbrella" all the parts seem to have arrived & N good condition. Have not taken it downstairs & setup yet. BUT 4 the price I paid which was a DEAL the tattered carton makes NO ISSUE with me. This stand is HEAVY and the extra long pole holder for the umbrella is SUPER. Very pleased with this purchase.As far as the "rust issue" others speak of N there reviews they must have received defective ones as MINE has perfect coating of paint & lots of CLEAR over coating. It is STUNNING.

The visual appeal is as described but if you try to move it very often it won't hold up. The tube that holds the umbrella in place won't hold up if you try to move/adjust slightly. As long as you leave it in place it is a great product. If you plan on moving it around opt for something with wheels or more sturdy.

Sturdy base

Ok so I’ve bought several and I don’t know why I kept buying this. They have all rusted and broke. Every single one of them. Not a fan at all but I needed a white bottom. You get what you pay for with this one. Go for a different one. NOT impressed.

Solid, clean-looking, does the job. Two thumbs up.

Base arrived packaged in styrofoam on one side only and had two major dents. Extending pole would not screw in straight as the screw is crooked. I have reached out to the manufacturer, so awaiting a response as of this writing. Will provide update.

This base lasted less than a year before the rod portion broke and loosened completely, making the product unusable in any wind.
