Why mess with the cigarette power adapter when you can have a clean hardwired installation? This is a must have to do this install properly.

I orderd this in conjunction with the VanTop mirror. I thought that having a dedicated "switched" power supply would be a much better option than splicing into my existing wiring.However, although they provided multiple types of connection types for the switched line, the constant was only one type (not the correct type for my application). Seems an odd oversight.As far as functionality, until I can adapt it to my fuse block, I really can't comment.

For the power lead there are 4 different leads to accommodate various vehicles fuse panels, but for the accessory lead only one lead is provided, so if your fuse panel doesn't match, you have some work to do to make it fit. The manufacturer obviously knows vehicles have different size fuse panels, so why do only half the job? Better luck next time.

You will need more connections and wires.. There is not enough wiring and connections here to complete your install. Buy another add-a-fuse, get additional grounding cable. This kit assumes that all cars use mini fuses. I am putting this in my 1999 mercury grand marquis. It uses large, regular fuses. The little mini fuse connection that comes attached to the red wire on the kit does not work for anything other than a mini fused car. I had to cut this connection and crimp on a regular add-a-fuse to work on my car. It is a $10 piece. Also, the ground cable is too short to really be useful, I had to add about 2ft of extra wire to it.

Easy to use. One thing that is not clear from the instructions is that to use the ACC fuse you REMOVE the existing ACC fuse and replace it with the included cable. Install took about an hour, works great, on a 2003 Honda Odyssey it's best to hook up on the passenger side fuse box.

The instructions were really bad. So after finding out that I needed another set of tap and fuses for the ACC-line (no good explanation what ACC-"fuse" is) support, the cables did not function anymore. Somewhere in the middle of testing I had 5 V support for the VanTop cam. I guess the transformer went down. This is a lousy China-product - but I must order another one - better luck next time.

I have been trying to get a response from their customer service for 3 days, in the meantime I'm unable to complete the install.The instructions are vague, don't cover everything.Product looks like it is well designed.No customer service.

This included the fuse adapter and enough length of cable to allow for a really professional-looking install in my Ram Promaster 2500 159".I was able to route the cable and hide the DC converter box in the dash.I found a video on YouTube which walked through the install for a Ram Promaster which was easy to follow and resulted in almost not wires showing and a professional install.

Everything is as shown in pictures and as described in advertisement, trim/tension tools were a handy bonus and the fuse plug in really makes hardwiring pretty easy. Some may have to get creative not realizing their fuse box is in their engine bay and not inside their cabin which may make it a bit trickier than day, buying a 12v extension for your car adaptor and leaving it nice and tidy there if that's the case otherwise you may be in for a shock at the extra work hardwiring it in your engine bay and running the power to your vantop mirror/camera inside your car isn't as simple as youtube made it out to be. (Unsure about you people but I hate loose wires all over a car/bad cable/wire management)
