Good product, excellent voice quality

Logitech 981-000381 wireless headset ( bluetooth )1/29/2015 I have had this for a 2 years, 3 months now.The headset continues to work well. I would highly recommend it.Oct/2012It is comfortable with a speaker for each ear.Voice quality is very good. I am on call all day long. I have asked people about the quality and they all say it sounds fine. They would not know I was on a headset if I had not said something. The volume on the right ear piece works fine. It is where your index finger is.There is a mute function that has an on/off button where your thumb is. Press for mute and the tone in your ear only, goes from medium to low, press again to turn back on and the tone goes from medium to high. If you a re not sure if you are muted just press the button a couple of times and you can easily tell the setting. If you have to pair it with another device, you have to hold the volume up and mute buttons for 5 sec and the led will fast blink to indicate pairing mode.I have used it all day and have not run out of battery. If the battery does run low this unit uses a standard micro USB connector for charging. You can use it off a wall wart or a PC USB port. The neat feature is that you can charge it while using it. So if the battery does run down you can just plug it in and you just have to stay near your power source. Other head sets or in-ears, can be charged or used but not both at the same time. For someone who is on the phone up to 16 hours a day this was a great feature. If the battery does wear out you can unscrew the left ear piece and replace the battery like in a phone. You can also listen to music paired with a bluetooth device. The quality is good but not great, but these are not primarily a music headset. It is listed as a headset for iPad, iPhone, iPod but it will work with compatible bluetooth devices. You just need to find out what it is compatible with.I use it with the AT&T TL96271 that is a land line phone with bluetooth capabilities for headsets and cell phones. If the headset is on and the bluetooth is connected to the phone, you can answer an incoming call by pressing the mute button on the right ear piece of the headset. You can disconnect the call by using the off button on the headset.I have also used it as bluetooth connected to my Windows 7 PC and to my Android nexus tablet. If the Bluetooth gets confused, the simple way out is to reset the headset and then re-pair it to the device. That has always cleared things up.As far as range from the base, I have been able to go about 30 feet and through a wall before the bluetooth degrades and there is some noise on the call. I was able to go about 35ft, upstairs through a floor and two walls and into the closet at the end of my house. The call was scratchy but it still stayed connected, and cleared up as soon as I got closer again. One of the people I work with is buying this so he can get rid of his wired headset. I am on calls with him every day and he says the sound quality is great.I tried a vTech land line phone that had bluetooth but it would not connect to this headset.I tried a Panasonic land line phone and it would pair but not transfer the call to the headset.

Great for IPad and at nice price point too!

Logitech Wireless Headset (981-000381) - [review 0577 - home electronics - 111014] REVIEW UPDATED 10202016 I own several pair of headphones but prior to this purchase no wireless ones. As the satisfied owner of an IPad I have mused how cool it would be not to be tethered as I am with my wired headphones. As first I was put off by the plus $200 price for the wireless headphones I have seen at several merchants. Further research found many others wireless headphones for less cost but many reviews cautioned about quality/audio issues. Recently I took the plunge and purchased the Logitech Wireless Headset on Amazon. I have used it on approximately 20 occasions and my comments are a follows:PRO:· The set up for using the headset with the IPad was simple and flawless - basically turn the headset power on and check the IPad setting - and, as they say, you're good to go.· The phones are reasonable comfortable and can be adjusted to accommodate folks with "adult sized" heads.· I enjoy listening to all types of music - this set was adequate for my taste.· The range for wireless reception is about 30 feet - more of less - ok for my needs.· I like the feature that the phones fold up - making them easy to store and transport.CON:· While not flimsy by any means they are not industrial strength so I would not recommend them for active teens - children or careless adults.· Don't expect a high end music experience with these phones at this price point.Overall for the price these headphones are recommended for general use. Please note, as I'm sure you have, my experience is with the IPad - how they function with other devices may be an addendum to these remarks some day.On a personal note I took my IPad and new headphones just outside my home where the Wi-Fi still functions and had a most satisfying experience doing my yard work while listening to some of my favorite NPR programs. Admittedly when I wandered too far from the IPad the signal would drop out but you learn to cope - by move the IPad transmitter!Added comments: October 20, 2016I had used these headphones approximately 100 times since they were purchased in November 2014. Around May of 2016 they stopped functioning. The indication I had by the charging LED's was that the internal battery would not hold a charge. I was disappointed I had not used them daily and expected several years life from these headphones. As me review states I was satisfied with the products performance when it was functioning. I considered repurchasing the item. I paid $38 in 2014 for the item today it is listed on Amazon at $89. Hope yours last longer them mine!.

A decent headset for Android devices as well

Even though the description clearly says "for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch", I'd been looking for a stereo Bluetooth headset for my HTC Desire Z (TMobile G2), so I thought I'd give this a try, since the information on the Logitech site indicated that it should be compatible with any device supporting the A2DP and HFP Bluetooth profiles. Although it took two attempts, it is now paired successfully with that device, along with a Motorola Xoom, iPhone 4 and Lenovo laptop - it can hold the pairing information for up to 8 devices. The sound quality is average (compared to higher end "over the ear" headphones), but certainly good enough for occasional music listening as well as phone calls. The range is also decent... I could reliably get 25-30 feet, even in an office environment with lots of electronics around. It's also lightweight and comfortable enough to use for extended periods of time. I can't attest yet to the battery life, since I haven't used it for an uninterrupted period of time longer than 2 hours, but I have no reason to doubt the claims of six hours. Still, it's worth noting that, should the battery run out, the headset can be recharged using a standard micro USB connector (some previous models of Logitech wireless headsets used a proprietary connector) and that it can still be used even while charging.Note that a Bluetooth "dongle" is *not* included with the headset, so if you want to use it with a non Bluetooth-equipped laptop, you'll need to supply your own.

Good for calls, good for radio, classical music etc ... not so much for BOOM BOOM music

This is a very good product if you understand what it actually will do.This is NOT for listening to music loudly on the bus. The volume won't go up the extra mile and depending on the file you are listening to, the volume can remain moderate on maximum. The foams seem to be the first part that will wear off.I synced this with my ipod, iphone, ipad and iMac and as long as you switch the bluetooth off on those devices, it will easily connect to the one that still has Bluetooth on. I have used the mic for answering calls and it works fine.I use it at work and around home for listening to the radio while cooking, going to the bathroom etc. I'm happy with it.Update: it died after 3 months. You get the blinking of death and it won't connect with anything.

Good but nothing special

This is good headset that serves the purpose I need for the right price. The sound quality is good enough to have a clear conversation, the mic picks up my voice well.I would have liked to seen the functionality to use Siri with it. But it's not a big loss, especially considering how it is priced compared to other bluetooth headphone head sets.Overall, if you looking for a simple double headphone head set with mic for you iPhone at a good price, This one is great.

Very good Bluetooth headset for the price

Had it for 3 years, and very happy with that. Sound quality is very good. Pairs with Apple devices and also my Lenovo laptop, car Bluetooth etc. Pairing with computer can be tricky.

Exactly what I expected.

I love my wireless headset. No more wires getting snagged on stuff. This is not a high quality headset, but it is great for phone calls, audio books, and movies. Controls are convenient and batter lasts for days. I do find the volume a bit quiet, especially when there is background noise.

Good Product

This has served it's purpose. It has a slight delay but over all works great! Recommend it to anyone who wants a hands free option for their phone.
