Brickell Men’s Renewing Face Scrub is a rare find amongst competitor's high-end skin products. The exfoliation is effective without being too rough, leaving my skin feeling clean and smooth instead of dry or irritated. As a man in his late 50's who has become more sensitive to certain products over the years, I don't feel the exfoliation is too gentle at all, but it's just the right level of scrub for my complexion. The scent is subtle and clean, and you don’t need much of the product to see and feel the results. The natural ingredients add to my safety in using the product. Overall it’s a solid, high-quality scrub that does what it promises.

I very much like using the face scrub, it smells good, feels good, and seems to do a nice cleaning job without drying out my face. The only thing I would change which is a more personal preference is maybe a version with a little more exfoliating power. I feel there is not enough "grit", I like the gel a lot, but it needs more grit. The grit thins out to much when washing which doesn't allow a thorough exfoliation, maybe it's simply a gel thickness issue, I'm not sure. But I know just adding more grit would resolve it. I use the scrub followed by the face wash and my face feels great after, then I add the moisturizer and such. I'm fairly new to this whole "Man care" thing, I grew up in the woods in Maine, we consider a river and a bar of ivory bathing. But I've come to realize it's not really about being "pretty" I've just finishing up with my first round of a good portion of this product line and I can say, although my skin doesn't look great, it's only because it's in the process of finally cleaning itself out after years of dry soap abuse. So be warned if you are new to using good face care products, and your face has seen some skin abuse, your skin will rejoice in it's new found ability to clean itself by forcing out long lost pimples and whatever else simply became part of your skin over time. Blemishes of the ages. This is not a bad reaction to the products, this is your skin finally being able to breath, it will pass. Clean and moisturize.

This face scrub does the trick. It’s not overly gritty but it definitely has grit to clean your pores and deep clean your face. I love the smell too. It reminds me of the barber shop. I use every 3 or so days as you don’t want to use daily. It lasts quite a while and doesn’t require a lot per use. Good stuff!

I originally tried this product as part of the sample kit offered from Brickell. When I purchased the samples, I really had no intention of buying any of the products as they were more expensive than what I usually purchase from the pharmacy. The face scrub was one of many Brickell products that made a noticeable difference that I have since gone on to purchase. My first impression was that I loved the scent. The smell is natural and noticeable but not overpowering. I have been dissapointed in the past with exfoliants that were too gritty and left my skin feeling irritated. The Brickell face scrub is strong enough to give your skin a good cleaning but doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. My skin is also very dry and I find that this scrub does not dry my skin out. I use it along with the face moisturizer and my face looks and feels cleaner and healthier. I will be a repeat purchaser of this and many of the other Brickell products.

I'm old enough and tested enough men's skincare products to know when something earns its place in my bathroom cabinet for regular use. This is now firmly entrenched in my cabinet. I've used many facial scrubs over the years from Arbonne to Clinique and numerous other brands. All those experiences made me skeptical about whether I needed one or was just fine without one. My extremely positive experiences with the rest of the Brickell line-up nudged me to give their facial scrub a try. What stood out ... • Texture:: the jojoba beads and pumice provided me with a real exfoliation without feeling like I was using sandpaper on my face. I like to consider not only how it feels when I'm actually using but also how my face looks 5 minutes later when testing a new face product. On my first use it was definitely exfoliating and 5 minutes later my face did not "look" like it had just been exfoliated (if you know what I mean). • Scent:: some of these products give off a "cologne" leaning scent which I despise; not this one though, the coffee + green tea approach provides a pleasant if almost energizing scent. I liked it. • (Lack of) Irritation:: I found using this before shaving was a solid recommendation as it did lift the hairs and make shaving smoother. Results ... • After 3 uses my skin looks brighter and feels smoother or cleaner (presumably both) • I have not experienced tightness or dryness after using and before applying other products If you prefer natural ingredients, want a real exfoliation without the typical after effects provided some exfoliators, and want some help getting a closer shave (and likely less in-grown hair issues as a result), I recommend you try this.
