I’ve done several bathroom remodels in my homes and rental properties, and I have a strong preference for Hansgrohe as a brand. They have consistently shown good quality and their design approach aligns with my personal taste. I selected the Joleena trim mainly for its sleek appearance. In this case, I selected part number 04779000 for temperature and pressure control, with the tub spout controlling water diversion. We bought the rough-in valve separately, as recommended. The valve trim itself is gorgeous, completely metal with a rubberized gasket between the handle and the faceplate. No screws in site. It is a seamless integration against the tiling. When my guy did the installation initially, he set it so the handle range only reached a mildly hot temperature - not acceptable for my heat-seeking hunny bunny. So, he came back and adjusted with the rough-in and we are now in a steamy shower situation. I’ve had Moen fixtures where the handle is somewhat loose on the faceplate, and the resolution you get by turning on the handle is less than ideal. This Joleena set has very fine control, and the handle has nice resistance against the gasket that sits between it and the faceplate. Hence, it has such a high-quality feel, smooth and responsive. The rough-in is so exemplary of German design, and the tub spout is equally sleek. I’m overly satisfied and once again am happy to be a loyal Hansgrohe customer.

The Hansgrohe Joleena Pressure/Shower Balance Valve Trim is a beautiful, functional bath hardware item. In order to use it, you must have a Hansgrohe rough in valve installed - this trim works with the rough in to control the water pressure and temperature. I don’t know of many other single control valves that do anything other than control temperature.The finish on this valve trim is beautiful – it’s an excellent chrome finish. Note that Hansgrohe offers other trim that provides a square trim plate, so you can choose from many different Hansgrohe valve trims – they should all function identically.I like this trim. It was easy to connect to the rough in. Setting a maximum water temperature protects the user from being accidentally scalded if someone else flushes a toilet or turns on a sink, reducing the amount of cold water in the pipes.The Hansgrohe products are certainly more expensive than the plumbing fixtures you can get at big box stores – but, if you can afford the extra money for them, you’ll be very pleased with what you get.There is one problem – this valve trim looks like it’s too good for my bathroom. This trim is going to cost me a lot of money while I improve my bathroom enough to do it justice.

I'm not blaming the product, but this was not easy to install. My old valve was corroded. I needed to replace it with this new Hansgrohe fixture. But the tile installers made the access hole so small, I could not remove the old valve without breaking tile. I thought about doing just that, but then I called a plumber. I'm not completely sure how he did it, but he was able to remove one whole tile, remove the old valve, install the new one, reinstall the tile, and mount the handle all in less than two hours. it's a fine product, but for a DYI project.

Hans grohe has become a bit of a bad habit of mine lately. If you're shopping for kitchen or bathroom fixtures from this brand you're going to be seeing a lot of my name. I've been reviewing so many fixtures over the years in fact that you could even call it a hobby of sorts. I've even set up a small staging area with a sink and closet shower where I can hook new samples up, check them out, use them, get a feel for them, and swap them out without too much trouble to try the next one.This particular valve was a joy. Easy to install and it's easy to clean too. Despite being curvy, it doesn't have a lot of nooks and crannies that are hard to get a cloth into. The friction of the handle is satisfying and the entire piece is well built. Plenty of heft, the finish extends to all areas that could be subject to corrosion and none of the screw holes were poorly cut that I checked.Need it? Grab it. It's a bargain.

I really like the HansGrohe Joleena collection for its smooth lines and classic look.This pressure balancing shower trim works well with HansGrohe's iBox Universal Rough-in. It can serve for a shower only or with a tub spout that has a built-in diverter.I like the screw less face plate design. It makes it look more seamless. The plate screws onto the valve body to install. You must also remove the handle to take it off. I like the design and find it easier than trying to line up 2 screws as it typical with shower valve plates.This is a high end trim kit. Very solid, refined with a uniform finish. Very nice. 5 star for quality.

First, you HAVE to have the rough fixture. I did not, but purchased one to install this. Hubby installed everything. Once the rough box was installed, this went together just like lego bricks (his words). The instructions were clear, although, if you have any plumbing experience, you probably wouldn't need them (also his words). It took him about 20 minutes. He surprised me when he proclaimed his accomplishment.The action of this fixture is very smooth and has just the right amount of resistance when turning on the water and adjusting the temperature. The look is very sleek! The only bad part is now I have to upgrade all the fixtures in my bathroom to match the elegance of this Joleena shower fixture!

This shower knob seems to be working well in my shower. Everything was made of metal and my father in law had no issues when installing it. It looks sleek and clean and doesn't tarnish in the shower.
