Floating thermometer

Check this to a couple other thermometers for accuracy and it was dead on. Can be used in the kitchen to check water or oil. It is great for home brewers and gives you a fast and accurate reading.

This is the second thermometer to break while brewing beer. The first one broke after a couple of times and since it appears to very fragile, I assumed I mishandled it. I purchased a second one and it broke the first time it was used. I was aware of how fragile they are and took extra care with it, but it also broke. Not sure that brewing beer is not the proper application, but do not intend to buy another one from this manufacturer.

This item is cost effective and works great for home brewing. It is more convenient than a thermometer that must be placed into and removed from the boiling pot.

Works well for wine making. Has a string on it so you can use it easily in a carboy and be able to pull it out. I would give it 5 stars if the numbers were bigger. It is still ok to read.

For homebrewing or whenever you need to monitor a liquid's temperature, this is perfect.Cons: This is best for large amounts of liquidsif you were trying to use it on anything smaller than several gallons I would try to find a smaller thermometer

I use this along side my hydrometer to make adjustments to my readings. Simple, effective and accurate.

Spend a little more, it is not a sealed tube, it has a rubber seal on top.
