Accent Plus Zebra Mask Wall Plaque 5.25x2x14.25

I am so glad I decided to order it early as part of my gifts for my husband's birthday - because now I have time to return it. I ordered from Verdugo Gift Company. The mask came promptly and was in a box with Styrofoam covering on the top (ears) and the bottom (nose) of the mask. But the Styrofoam covering the ears is rather thin and there were no "handle with care" notes on the box. So mine came with one of the ears broken off. The reason is because this item is not made out of "carved wood" as mentioned, but of polyresin. It only looks like carved wood and for this reason I wish they would change the description to "carved wood look" or something. Yes, I know it is mentioned in small print - which is why I would caution potential buyers to read the small print carefully.Now, if you get your item undamaged, it is a beautiful piece. The colors are true to picture. Unfortunately mine came broken, which I believe is because of poor packaging. Strange thing is Amazon Customer Service told me there would be no exchanges, but I decided to contact the seller anyway, and attached an image of the mask with the broken off ear, and they wrote back to me promptly and told me they will send a replacement within the next couple of days. I was impressed - I didn't expect it. So will see how that goes... Keeping my fingers crossed the replacement will arrive intact. I will add an update if and when the replacement comes.****UPDATE 29-MAr-13****As promised, this seller sent me a replacement mask at no cost at all to me. In fact, they told me not to send back the damaged one. The replacement arrived today intact. Very impressed by their customer service.

Fantastic item! When I first discovered the zebra mask it was exactly what I was looking for, but I hesitated at first because sometimes the pictures online are not true to the actual product. I decided to roll the dice anyway because the pictures looked so good and also it was a decent price for something that looked that good. When it arrived I was surprised that it was just as beautiful if not more beautiful than the pictures. It was heavier than I expected, but that is a good thing because I would rather have something strong and sturdy than something weak and flimsy. For this reason I would suggest putting the nail or screw directly onto the stud in the wall to ensure it does not fall off the wall. The paint on the mask looks just like in the picture. To me this mask at the price it is listed is a steal because it looks like it should be worth $50 or more. It looks like I bought this from a market in a village in African. I am pleased with this purchase and I recommend this item to anybody and everybody.

When I saw these I thought, well I hope they show up looking like they look online and if anything, they look better!! Definitely worth every penny!! Love their fun, happy and inviting faces! They will make that room a cheerful place!

I have a nice collection of Tibetan masks. I've grouped them around "The Afghani Girl", a photo by Steve McCurry that was on the cover of National Geographic. It's the perfect anchor for my collection of masks.I was here, looking for a few more. But Tibetan masks were pretty slim. Then this one caught my eye. Not only did it look nice, but it was also the perfect size. Had good reviews, too, and free shipping. Only $11.56 ??? Well, okay then...I ordered mine on Thursday evening. And with NO fuss, it showed up Saturday morning. Once opened, I found it to be quite solid, heavy and very beautiful. So I gave it away! But I've come back...to get another one. Maybe two. Because it was the best $11.56 I've ever spent on Amazon. And because it made me smile. Go right ahead. order one (or 6)...and I'll bet it makes you smile, too.

This looks exactly like I'd hoped, which is even better than I'd expected, if you follow me. Some other buyers have mentioned poor shipping quality, but mine was really well packaged (except for the BIG box that Amazon put this in... the mask in its box was heavy enough to damage one of the books I had shipped with it, but the MASK was in great shape!).The color, weight, size, even the hanging hardware were all slightly better than I'd hoped for the price. Anyone who's upset that it isn't "real wood" ought to actually read the description, but maybe it could be made clearer in the item title. Regardless, it was an excellent buy, and I have already bought one for my mother. I'll buy one for my father-in-law soon, too!

I needed an African type wall hanging and this was perfect. Happy with purchase.

Nice Chinese interpretation of African art, it has flaws, just like an authentic wood piece might have, so is interesting. The label on the inside says it is a "four-tier table top fountain", so that needs some QA I think. It's fired clay, not wood.

Note that the name of this product in Amazon is "Gifts & Decor Carved Wood African Tribal Zebra Mask Wall Plaque Decor." But in the body of the product description it says it's made of 'polyresin.' It is indeed polyresin - please change the title of the product to eliminate the word "wood."I do like the mask, but it is very heavy for its size because of the thickness of the material.
