Best monitor out there
This is THE monitor! When my original Lila needed to be replaced I decided to see what other more expensive models were all about. I tried the Lavana Astra, Levana Ovia, and Infant Optics DX-R 8. They all went back and I bought another Lila.What I love about the Lila:- the camera is small and light, easily mounted to the wall (I use 3M strips and it holds fine). you have to adjust where the camera is pointed manually, but since I'm really only using this in his room and it's only pointing at his crib it's fine.- the monitor is small and portable, and the buttons are easy to use.- the screen on the monitor is smaller than other models, but it's so much better. the picture is much more clear than the other bigger Levanas, and it's viewable from more angles. with the other models, I had to look at the monitor screen straight on; if I looked from any other angle I couldn't make out the picture. With the Lila, I can see the baby while my head is still on my pillow and the monitor is on my nightstand. With the other monitors, I needed to lift my head and get closer to the screen.- peep mode is fantastic. the screen and sound goes off when nothing is happening in the room, and both go on when my baby makes noise. I can also keep the sound off and just have the screen light up when he makes a noise, which is super helpful because my baby makes a lot of noise while sleeping, and isn't necessarily awake.- the lights on the top show how much noise is being made. this visual is really helpful when the sound is off, you can still tell how loud the baby is being.Cons:- the screen is really bright and I wish it went a little lower. but, the lowest iphone brightness setting is too bright for me so it might just be me who thinks it's too bright.- I have had some range issues in large, long houses. But, I also forgot there was an antenna to use and this was with my original Lila, which I needed to replace because I dropped it and the antenna broke.Bottom line is this is the best monitor I've tried, and it's also very reasonably priced. Get the model with two cameras so you can take the 2nd when you travel or go to Grandma's.

Buy the extended warranty because you WILl have to replace this monitor!
okay, looking at one of the top reviews I noticed that she had to put that they had to replace her original one. That is exactly what I was doing as well was replacing my original one. Why in the world would a baby monitor need to be replaced? Because it doesn't last! I have six children which all span about 12 years. I have never had to replace a baby monitor so much. Each one lasted about four years. Except the levanas. The levanas have lasted me about one year each. That is an awful lifespan for a baby monitor! both of my levana monitors have had the back of the parent unit come off so we have to tape the back of the parent unit on so it stays. The first levana I had, the battery got very big and puffy so we had to get rid of the battery because it was a danger. It still worked being plugged in. It also had issues with the parent unit and had to be replaced. The parent unit didn't couldn't pick up any signal anymore from the baby unit. It lasted about 18 months, just over the warranty. Now, I don't know why I didn't buy the extended warranty, I usually do but for some reason I didn't. I should have learned my lesson the first time! Buy the extended warranty IF you get this monitor. Now, my monitor turns off about every 10 seconds and will stay off for about 3 or 4 minutes and then turn back on. It doesn't matter if it's plugged in or not it just continues to that do this. It's very frustrating! It's just over the warranty date as well at 13 months. If you decide to waste your money on this please get the extended warranty! now what happens when they give you your second monitor and it goes out? Do they start another warranty for three years for that thing? I don't know. I would hope so! Anyway, we did like it while it lasted but definitely not worth the money in my eyes having to replace them so much! my son is 2 and I still put a baby monitor in his room at night if he has bad dreams because he won't come get me and my daughter is just 5 months old. I have another monitor that I use for her that isn't a video one. I like the video one for my son because sometimes he wakes up and just plays in his bed quietly but I guess I will have to look for a different kind this time around. 😟

This is the second one of these we have purchased. The first was given to me as a shower gift, the second we purchased through amazon for a great deal! Obviously we liked the first one enough, to buy a second for our next baby. It's definitely not the highest tech option out there, but if you are looking for a product that simply allows you peace of mind to check in on your babes without risking waking them, then this product will definitely meet your needs. If you want to be able to zoom in so close you can see them breathing and facial features, then you are going to want to jump up to the next level of product!

Not durable but will do the job
We were looking for something cheap that just needed to work for one child. The reviews were helpful to alert us to the shortcomings of the unit. We were happy enough with it because it got the job done for the brief naptime hours we use it...Then after mere months, it started falling apart, despite the fact that it stays in one place on the kitchen counter 90% of the time.First, the antenna stopped staying up, then we noticed the wires behind it were frayed, and then the little stand snapped in half.Now it only intermittently picks up the camera. Of course, none of the initial problems were enough for us to justify calling customer service...until it stopped working reliably, of course just days after the one-year warranty was up.I called anyway, and did get a real person in short order, but they wouldn't stand by the product for more than a year. So if you need this for more than a year, be warned. You might get to use the money you saved to buy another unit.

If it’s twilight outside, or if you have a lamp on in the room, you literally cannot see your baby. This monitor can see in the daylight and at night - but it freaks out at...
