18 Pack E26 Light Socket,Standard Screw-in Lamp Socket Holder for Edison Retro Pendant Lamp Bulbs Basic Black

I used these while building a custom light fixture, it was easy enough to wire these up, and they powered the bulbs as expected. not a very complicated part so not much else to say, but I have no problems with it and it did what it was supposed to do. I used three of them, all worked. Will save the others for other light projects.

Used for custom built LED pendant lighting. Not for heavy duty applications. Excellent value for my intended use

I was using these for a wine bottle lamp project. The price and value is excellent. The electrical socket portion of the unit has to snap into the holder shell, and it takes a good push to get it in. Then you have to screw the back portion of the socket in place. I find it very strange that the back cap, when screwed in, does not capture the metal socket assembly in place. You could have this entire assembly put together, but if you were to push on the metal portion of the socket, it could pop out place and then the actual 'business end" of the socket could spin freely, and you would never get a lamp screwed in or out of it because the socket would be spinning internally. I only give it a "C" grade for design. It did fit my purpose however. I have 15 of these with LED lamps, so I should not expect to be changing them soon.

Energy efficiency and brightness are NOT features - not sure why those were part of the criteria, but no reason to not give anything other than 5 stars. These were used in the construction of lighting inside of some Christmas Blow Molds. This particular project involved having the light socket extended 10 inches into the cavity of the blow mold, thus the gray PVC seen in the photos. I plan to use a few more of these for "standard" installation as replacement lighting and back covers for other blow molds. In that instance, the outlet cover would get a small hole and the end of the socket would pass thru it, and be secured with the socket supplied nut.

My husband does Steampuck, turning lots of items into lamps. These work perfect for him.

I thought it had a on and off switch... It doesn't. Just very confusing. That's ok.

I had a double fixture floor lamp that had a blown bottom fixture that I used quite a lot. I actually purchased another for that very reason and placed this lamp upstairs. I got on a repair binge and ordered these sockets once I got to this lamp. I found them to be the cure that I needed and they worked well. Wish I had thought about these sooner, but better late than never. Now I've moved it back downstairs and use this lamp regularly.
