Hillman 847026 2-Inch Numbers, Letters, and Punctuation Combo Stencil Set

Not so durable or reusable but suitable for the purpose

I used these stencils to print some yardage marks in my driveway for archery. I did not want to spend a lot of money as I don't really have a need for stencils so these were a good choice. That said, they are made from pretty thick material with one side being a little more glossy than the other so they should be reusable for some time if you use something like scotch tape to secure them to say...a cardboard frame. They can be stored in the plastic case they came in and stuck way until needed.Good value and a product I can recommend without hesitation.

Good: Does the job, if you don't ask too much of it. Excellent price.Bad: Not durable for much more than one use. I bought these to stencil my home address on a set of new trash bins. After the second bin, pulling up the tape removed the top layer of cardboard from half the letters, two of which tore through and had to be replaced. For small jobs only.Ugly: I had to buy three sets of stencils to get enough "2"s for my address. Not a big deal - they're cheap - but wasteful.Bottom line: Again, if you don't ask too much of them, they'll get the job done. Don't assume they'll be usable more than once. Four stars, mostly for the price.

Quote from the package: "Includes one of each, all letters (A-Z), all numerals (0-9), comma, period, space card, $ and cent symbols, plus an additional A, E, O, R, S and period." Worked fine. Seems re-usable if you carefully peel off the blue painters tape (or whatever you use to affix it). Might want to buy some brown masking paper to go with that. Rustoleum spray paint seems to be the inexpensive go to paint. Primer and enamel (flat or glossy). Or automotive. For asphalt or cement marking spray or striping spray.

The stencils worked well the first time. If you get too much paint on the material it will begin to delaminate and render the stencil unusable. I had to tape many of these back together to get two or three uses out of them. Worked well for this project but I don’t expect to get another use out of them.

Pros:These are very sturdy stencils for their price.They are made of durable card stock with a shiny finish.With non-water based paints they should last a very long time.Cons:Only the first stencil (the number 2) was punched out.The rest were cut, but the puzzle pieces were still connected.If you plan on using these for the first time give yourself a few minutes more to prep the pieces.I would buy them again.

I ordered these because couldn't find a pack of clear plastic stencils (clear would really help positioning the letters). To make them last I painted clear acrylic on both sides, could have sprayed but I like thicker paint for protection. now going to look for 1" size exactly the same typestyle.

Great price!! These stencils are made out of cardboard so please let them dry out if you’re going to use them multiple times!!!!

They are not so sturdy so we got to use them with extreme care. I use them for signages.

Received the order timely. I just wish the stencils were plastic instead of cardboard, but still nice and does the job.

This was my first time at using a stencil. I failed as I used a spray paint and all I got was la big blur as the paint ran all over the place.I then switched to paint with a small paint brush and that was a bit better but still not clean. I gave up and dumped the remaining stencils in the garbage pail. I never realized how difficult it is to get a nice letter done.Would also be nice if on each stencil there was a small letter as say W or I or 8 to identify the letter, as it can look confusing.I assume that these can be used over and over again. However I would think one has to be careful not to damage the edges of the stencil . From now on if I need letters, I will just buy them and forget about the complicated progress of using stencils.
