Line Out Jack Makes This the Best Inexpensive Cassette Player for .mp3/.wav/CD conversion
I gave this five stars as it is the only inexpensive unit I found with a "Line Out" jack in addition to a headphone jack, not because it sounds great. The others have only "Headphone Out" jacks. For connection to powered speakers, a home stereo unit, or for mp3 conversion, etc., on a PC, "Line Out" is superior to "Headphone Out" since line out is a straight unaltered signal. The "Headphone Out" is affected by the amplification/volume control to run headphones and adds extra noise to the signal and potential distortion and coloration. Although let's face it, these aren't high enough quality units to probably make much difference if you know what you're doing. Cassette players aren't what they used to be, and all these different brands are exactly the same things made by one manufacturer marketed under different names with different external appearances. Fortunately, I have an old Teac deck for my higher quality cassettes. I bought two of these Jensens to convert my massive "home-made" cassette collection to .wav files on my PCs using a couple of DigitNow! USB audio capture devices and free Audicity software for later conversion to CD or mp3. They work fine with the "Line Out" jack. The quality of the Jensen to .wav file is perfectly acceptable. One caveat is that there is no rewind button on the Jensen, only fast forward. That is something of a pain in the a** since you have to flip the tape over to rewind it using fast forward, but for the most part, I'll live with that since it has a "Line Out" jack. I'll use my other machines to FF/REW the tapes to discover what's on them.

Cheap but does what it needs to do
I enjoy the look and mild compactness of the product but the radio is nothing to run for. Overall it is good but there is better options

Worse than my worst expectations!
Sadly, it's essentially impossible to find a quality cassette player these days, so my expectations for this were already low before I bought it, but, my gosh, the reality was far lower than I could ever have predicted. Playing a cassette involves both white noise AND a mechanical him coming through the headphones, playback speed is variable, and the sound quality (aside from the white noise and hum) is worse than subpar. In essence, there's no enjoyment to be had listening to a cassette tape with this device, and if all you're interested in is a barely decent AM/FM radio, well, you wouldn't buy this to begin with, would you?

It just didn't work
Very disappointed. It broke the moment I put a tape in it. I had to return it and now I am trying another one.

they were amazed that these were still sold
It was exactly what I needed, and I could not believe that I had found something to play my cassettes with. When I told some other people, they were amazed that these were still sold. It also came way ahead of the arrival date.

Short life + Eaten tapes
Sound Quality = Meh but does the job.Value = You get what you pay for.Weight = Bit lightNow I just got this player a couple days ago and now it decides to eat my brand new cassete tape (as shown in images). No amount of basic cleaning will fix this player so don't waste your money. I was hoping it would last more than 2 days but oh well I guess. I'm gonna see if I can't get my money back.

This unit does NOT have a rewind function.
This unit does not have a rewind function or at least I can't figure it out. You have to take out the tape and turn it around and fast forward it. If I had know this when I ordered it I wouldn't have bought it. Needed it right away or I would have returned it. If there's anyone who knows know the rewind it, let me know
