Stellarvue Vixen Style Dovetail Plate 5.4" The Stellarvue TP14 is a Short Vixen-style dovetail plate and can be used on most mounts. Constructed of solid aluminum, this plate is made with 6061-T6 aluminum bar stock. The TP14 comes with two -20 and two 6mm mounting screws and one 1/4"-20 X 3/8 safety screws. This length, 6" long, is perfect for most Stellarvue telescopes! Some of these include Stellarvue M1, M2, and MG2 mounts, Vixen mounts, Orion mounts, Celestron CG5, and many others. The plate attaches directly to heavy duty camera tripods and any mount that utilizes the standard Vixen sized shoe.

Not as shown, But solid...
Not a flat-top like the picture. It has risers on the upper side.OK if your item you want to mount has a narrow base (footprint). I merely attached it as is for now.It is a solid piece of 6061 Aluminum bar stock. So it won't collapse when tightening the Vixen style clamping screws of your mount.I use this to give my Orion EF80T CF a mounting on a Celestron Advanced VX mount. It has proven out to work great for that, allowing me to balance my scope and cameras, Auto-guider, and flip mirror attachments.Also will work fine to attach a DSLR to any astronomy mount (tripod) that uses standard sized Vixen clamping.
