I am relatively a newbie at fly fishing (about 12 years). I feel I am just starting to be able to cast competently. Starting out I had horrible experience using tapered leaders, so switched to using tippet as a leader. I thought I would try out tapered leaders to see my original experience was valid (at least for me). I found this tapered leader at a great price point to experiment with. After a weekend fishing trip, I am now convinced that a good tapered leader can help or at least doesn't hurt my cast. I experienced a minimum of wind knots and often could see the loop. The price point really helps as I was going through at least one leader per full day of fishing. I had some trepidation using non-flourocarbon leader since I mainly fish sink-tip lines, but those fears were unfounded as the leader seemed to sink with everything else.

Update: Received some items (6 tapered leaders) in the mail today with a post card apologizing for the mistake, they also sent me 1 additional item. I'm all about customer service, and I can tell you because of the unexpected customer service that I received, I will definitely make Maxcatch my first choice when I purchase fishing items.Original: Received the original order with only 3 pieces, return it thinking someone made a simple mistake. Fast forward, received the replacement again with only 3 pieces. According to the description I I’m supposed to receive 6 pieces.

Great value, straighten out well and plain work! I change the leader way more now than I used to because it is economically sound to just change it instead of waste my time adding tippet while fish are jumping. Instead of getting 9ft and adding additional tippet and trying to make the leader last multiple trips when I change fly I just clip clip clip clip clip then change leader. Simple and does not waste time on the water. Rio in my opinion are very much the same

The leaders are easy to stretch to get curl out, the loop is strong, the leader material is just fine. You have to be extra careful unrolling these as compared to competitor leaders as they'll tangle easier. Would be 5 stars if they were less tangly.

I buy these cheap leaders for every day use. I purchase higher priced leaders when the need arises such as fluorocarbon leaders.Sometimes I tie up my own leaders from nylon line.

I really really really love these taper leaders, I use them exclusively now, the strength and flexibility and possibility is on par and I feel sometimes better than the major name brands, they'll let the price and the brand fool you these are first rate

These leaders are fine. They took more effort to straighten. When I am in water where I may go through a few leaders in a day, I like these. When presentation is critical, I turn to higher priced (better) leaders.

I like the price and they seem to throw nice. They were not as flat/straight as I would like them to be. There were a couple of bends that took a little while to straighten out. Overall I would do them again.

1 quarter the price compared to my local fishing store! Great quality leader line!

not crazy about the perfection loop at the butt end of the leader but can't complain about the price.

I like the fact you get what you order. In stores they never have what you want.
