Total quality - worth the money
These are some of the best licorice you’ll ever get. Really good taste. You can tell they use quality ingredients. 10/10 Totally recommend. As hard to resist as potato chips, they are so good!

Addictively Tasty
I'm partial to black licorice, the firm kind. This brand is very tasty and high quality, with a touch of salt that adds an interesting flavor twist. An excellent treat for black licorice fiends.

These are terrible
These were terrible. It's not just a hint of salt. It's salty AF. And they don't taste like black licorice at all. The worst black licorice candy I have ever tried. Do not recommend.

Impossibly great flavor.
I am a licorice lover and have had many different brands and styles of both red and black and have liked several of them. My wife got me these coins as one of my stocking stuffers this last Christmas. These really blew me away with its flavor, freshness, texture and actually the shape too. Absolutely the best I have ever had! The problem I have though is that I can’t stop eating them! Honestly, I have ordered a bag pretty much weekly since I saw that amazon carries them. I thought I could save some money by ordering a three pack recently. Won’t do that again as I ate all three bags one after the other in one sitting! They are on the firm side unless you let them sit in your mouth for awhile before you start chewing. I happen to like that fact but might not be for everyone if you like super soft licorice.

Addictive
This is how Dutch licorice is supposed to taste...sweet and salty. I would certainly like them better if the ingredients did not include pork gelatin, since I have not eaten meat in over 30 years and eating too many can irritate my stomach, but I cannot find any similar licorice without it. I love the chewiness...even if my teeth (and the lost fillings) do not. I wish I could find mint flavored candy with the same chewy textured. And for those who have written negative reviews related to the inclusion of ammonium chloride, they clearly have not done their homework. "Ammonium chloride was added to licorice to give it its distinctive saltiness. This type of licorice is thought to have originated in pharmacies who manufactured their own cough medicine." "Ammonium chloride - known for being able to break down mucus - was added to the mixture. No-one is sure when it was added, but by the 1930s it was being produced in Finland and a number of other countries as confectionery." One resource suggests, "Ammonium Chloride (NH4Cl), also known as ‘Sal ammoniac’, ‘Noushader salt’, and is used as a food additive. Commonly used as a yeast nutrient in bread making, as excellent flavor-agent for delicious sweets, to improve the crispiness of snacks such as Indian samosas and jalebi, in baking it gives cookies a very crisp texture. Ammonium chloride is also used as an expectorant in cough medicine." So...I doubt we would be consuming it in these other products as well, if it was that problematic. Of course, too much of anything may not be a good thing either. Enjoy this tasty treat!

Really good REAL Black licorice.
If you like real black licorice. And when I say real black licorice I don't mean the candy kind like twizzlers. Then you will really enjoy these. I would have given five stars except the price is a little steep.

Yummy!
This candy is definitely for those who like black licorice. If that's not you, you won't like this candy. BUT,I'd you do like black licorice, this is definitely the candy for you. I myself am a big fan of salted black licorice. Although the salt taste in thus candy is slight, as described, it's very pleasant. The texture of the licorice itself isn't soft. It's firm, and chewy as described. I personally don't mind one way or the other. But it's something to keep in mind if you like a particular candy texture. Overall, I think these licorice coins are delicious.

Delicious
Delicious, just like they taste in Holland when we were there.

This was my second order. The product is exactly as advertised: DUTCH licorice, not to be confused with other sorts of licorice, brings back happy childhood memories. Thanks for the fast delivery (US to SG in only 10 days! 1 day faster than estimated).
