Arrived broken
When I first opened it out of the box, the top pan fell out. Found that the black plastic outer case was cracked near the hinge, as shown in picture. Not worth my hassle at this price to ship back. Will try to repair, and while at it insulate better, maybe replace the cord with something more suitable for the amperage. The quality of the material of the outer plastic shell is inadequate for the mission. Would be nice if the power cord detached and stored inside. Update: dis-assembled, looking to repair and improve. Was going to paint the inside with reflective paint to help heat efficiency. But when I took it apart, saw it was a heating element with no thermostatic control, no upper temperature limit cutoff. On the power supply the draw is linear with voltage, no power limiting, at 14V draws 10amps. Discarding.

This works great on many levels
This is my second lunch box unit this gets food warm or hot depending on how long you leave it plugged up.Once the seal starts coming out over time just make two slices on the seal and place back in the grove.Plus the plug doesn’t get hot while plugged inn.

Awesome
Been using this a week and half. Truck driver works great. I plug it in let it preheat or just put cold food in works amazing. Needs to be used either setting in insulated bag or on insulated pad

I've had this device for a few weeks and I've been testing it while out on the road. It draws 9a at 12v, making it a 108w device. Firstly, the downsides. It's not fast. At 108w, it's about as powerful as a light bulb. It starts heating up pretty quickly, but it doesn't get super hot, and food does take a while to warm up in it. You certainly wouldn't be able to cook something in it, unless you left it on for a looooong time. Also, it's not fantastically insulated around the seam. The metal tray inside extends up and over the side, meaning that some of the heat is lost. When you don't have much to begin with, it's a bit of a nuisance. It doesn't get too hot to the touch, or anything like that, but it's a bit of a design flaw. Next, the positives. In about 45 mins, I can have a rustlers burger heated through. The unit is big enough to hold two side by side. They're about £1, so I can save on a McDonald's and be somewhere quiet to enjoy it. I recommend putting the burger at the bottom with the bun on top, for better heat distribution. A rice and sauce pot, mixed together in a foil tray, heats through even better, getting hotter more quickly. Having a wetter food product, like soup, works better than something dry, like bread. I've saved a fair bit on junk food since buying it, there's no smell from the unit and I can plan my stops more easily to coincide with when I'm going to be hungry. It doesn't take up much room and I get hot food when I want it. Much safer than a portable butane stove. I'd suggest getting some foil trays, like from a takeaway, to keep the inside of the unit nice and clean. They're cheap from £1 shops. I paid £20 for this, and at the time of writing, the Roadpro device, which is extremely similar, is £100. I would recommend this to lorry drivers, folk out driving, campervan folks, etc. I would definitely buy another one.

This item is amazing, especially for road trips, sideXside run, convenient and well worth it. We keep it in our side x side especially for mini burger sliders, prep sausage and bun. We use aluminum foil to keep the base clean. We put homemade chillie in 250ml mason jar to feel 6 adults. We even used it to warmer for many other items.

This is great at warming food that’s already been cooked it rated at 9amps so won’t fry your vehicle electrics but I find it takes approximately one hour to get food piping hot there are more powerful ones on the market like the road pro but at a12amp draw this is more likely to blow your fuse than this one
