I bought one for me when I coach, and just bought this one for my son's coach as a gift. It works well and is so incredibly handy for keeping a youth soccer game organized.If the dry erase pen was a bit finer point and a bit higher quality, I would rate it a 5. All other aspects of quality are great, and the price isn't too high.If it were my product, I'd devise a second metal clip or some other way to better secure the dry erase pen to the board, so it could be stuffed repeatedly in a ball bag and be more sure to be there when you want to write something fast.

This board is great for a soccer coach. I had a different board before this one and the biggest problem with my old one was that it was very difficult to erase. This board is SUPER EASY to erase. In fact sometimes perhaps a bit too easy, as just lightly brushing against it will erase it. Also forget about using it in even a light drizzle, as the slightest amount of water will prevent the dry marker from writing on it. Still I would much rather have it this way rather than the other board that just became unusable after a while.The half-field markings on the back side are also a nice touch.

First: the strengths.1) This clipboard has a simple but elegant design. The included dry erase marker is a great touch- and I love how it includes velcro so you won't have to hold on to it (risking throwing it full force at youth soccer referees, as often happened with my old dry erase markers).2) The back has a half field enlarged, great for explaining positioning with violent gesticulations and enraged barks to my terrified youth soccer players when I pull them out of the game for being terrible. Regardless, this is a nice touch.Now: the weaknesses.1) This board simply is not made of strong enough material. If you are trying to market a clipboard for coaches, WHY on EARTH would you design one that can be snapped in half by such a small amount of force as a full grown adult man firmly grasping it in both hands, raising it above his purple, balding head, and then slamming it down on his own knee as his under-11 recreational league players quiver in perplexed horror?2) The clipboard should come with some sort of cushioning on the corners, because it got me in trouble when I threw one like a ninja star at a volunteer referee in a game once. It struck him in the temple and he even lost consciousness for a minute or two (heh heh), but when he came to, I got a red card (did you know coaches can get red cards, too?) and he pressed charges. I am currently in discussion with my lawyer over just how culpable *I* was in this incident- I mean come on, was it my fault that they didn't think to add cushioning to the corners of the board? A simple layer of rubber would do nicely.3) After repeat uses, the dry erase can smudge and becomes difficult to erase.

As a soccer coach, I was using either a white vinyl-covered binder or a white board for diagramming concepts. Which took a bit of time to diagram without the field on it.Now that I have this, I don't know why I was doing what I was doing before. I love that it has the field diagram on it. It makes drawing concepts and plays very simple and very quick.The biggest thing about using this? I picked it up at a practice a couple of weeks ago, and one of the players stated 'I love using the clipboard!'You will love it too.

Very nice clipboard for coaching soccer. The pen (included) works quite well and is very easy to clean off of the board. The 'front' is a full field view whereas the back is a close-up on goal for tighter strategies and play design.The board is fairly large (larger than a traditional notepad) which is OK for me; very sturdy and is of a quality construction.Only negative is where to keep the pen/marker between uses... mine usually comes unclipped from behind the metallic grip and swims around in my bag. Other than that 110% great item.

The board has been working great for our soccer games. But the dry erase marker doesn't work well outside, maybe too much humidity for it to work, not sure. I use a different one now, which always works.

This board is really well built, it's like painted aluminum, and it exceeded my expectations... Easy to erase and no residual marks both sides have markings front is full court back is half court... The length is longer than a piece of printer paper, it even came with a pen. I'll buy the other versions again if I'm coaching other sports.

I like this board - works well and does what it is supposed to. My only issue is that it is a bit longer than I need and doesn't fit into my bag quite as well as my old clipboard. However, this allows for a bigger field to draw on, so for some that would be a positive.Overall - good product, cheap, quick delivery. And the kids like playing with it. :)

Easy to write on, and easy to read clipboard for soccer coaches. Gives you the ability to pre-plan game line-ups, and show tactics by drawing with the dry-erase marker. Heavy duty construction won't warp or buckle. Clip has lots of strength for holding team schedules/lists etc.

This isn't rocket science...there are two parts to a clipboard, the clip and the board and since the one which has been sent to me has a rubbish clip (different to the picture) and doesn't hold paper I can only give 2 stars. Shame.

Great tool for a busy soccer coach. Perfect size to be carried onto the field to review strategy. Helped us with the communication of our strategy this past season. Highly recommend it for all coaches out there.
