I didn't buy these for my feet.
I'm an organic gardener with a small orchard of thirteen fruit trees. I also live in an area where Japanese beetles will decimate a fruit crop before you ever get a taste. I'd read that it's possible to save fruit from the beetles by tying on old pantyhose. My lifestyle doesn't lend itself to pantyhose, so I tried using these footies on my peach trees when the fruit was beginning to show a blush. These footies made ALL the difference. They thwarted the Japanese beetles and all other bugs except a few picnic bugs, when tying them was impossible to get completely tight. As the fruit grew, the footies expanded. And if fruit decided to drop early, they held the fruit to the tree until I could rescue it. While it's a big chore to tie hundreds of footies onto a tree, it beats the pants off of getting no fruit; and the harvest was perfect. No sprays, no chemicals, just lush fruit tucked inside these little footies. After using other brands in the past, I was surprised to find that there wasn't a single defective one in the hundreds I used. They stretched nicely without running, tied neatly, and saved my harvest. I have no idea how they'd do on my feet; but I did find that in carefully untying fruit as I picked, I was able to save almost all of the footies for next year. They can be reused at least once without disintegrating. I'm so pleased. I ordered ten more boxes for next year, although I do believe that may be inadequate. I look forward to many more bushels of tree ripened fruit tucked inside these footies. These are the ones you want.

These socks are the best for protecting your apples on the trees
I am not sure how to rate them because I don't use them on my feet. I use them with little rubber bands to keep apple maggot flies from laying eggs in my apples. I had to order a total of 7 boxes of socks this year because of such a bounty of apples this year--from all the rain we had

Not just for trying on shoes, boots etc.
My feet are very uncomfortable with socks when it comes to wearing anything. I’m very particular about the material of socks I only like very soft cotton and usually they tend to be thick and cannot wear with boots or shoes sneakers etc. These very expensive little slip on stockings work the best for me when wearing boots, or any type of shoe that requires a sock. I wear them especially with boots and casual sneakers. They don’t fall off they don’t roll down they stay better than most socks or pads that I own. And I like that they’re light inside the shoe that I’m wearing. I particularly used to not wear socks with my boots or some sneakers, but I feel it’s better to have a little bit of protection for your feet, especially your pedicures. I wear them I can even wash them in a laundry bag and get a few uses out of them it’s a great deal!

They have some sort of oil or lotion on them. Not 144 socks, either.
I bought these for a craft project and noticed that after putting my hands in about ten of them that my hands were coated in some sort of oil. There's nothing on the box about this. I had to wash the mass of them in a sink with dish soap, rinse and throw them in the dryer before use. Otherwise, they are like cheap pantyhose and will only cover your foot to the ankle. Note that they are not for wearing with shoes. They are designed only for brief use while trying on shoes at a store, but even for that I really don't think they offer any real protection of your foot or the shoe since they are just thin, porous knitted polyester. They are totally see-through. Best for crafts and protecting fruit on trees. ALSO, I bought two boxes of these and counted them and one box was 132 socks and the next was 138, so be aware. I'm guessing they are packing the boxes by weight, and it needs to be re-calibrated.

EVERY SOCK A REJECT -Hole in toe of every single one!
These socks are simply short sections of a long stocking tube, sewn together at the toe end. That is as expected. However if the stitching at the toe is incomplete, it leaves a hole that expands when you put it on. This product is clearly the rejects from an inspection process: every single one has incomplete stitching at the toe resulting in a gaping hole at the toe when you put it on! A total ripoff. Do not buy from this seller!

Just what I needed, no weird residue like some stated.
Clean and functional, I use these for fish tank filters to hold charcoal.
