Nice replacement works better than the original.
My old "starter" just wouldn't start anymore. Installed this one (had to enlarge the hole it mounted in but that was easy) and my grill works better than ever. THANKS.

Grill works again
So my dog have bit off the button part of this which wouldn't allow me to create or generate the spark in there once I turned on the gas. So I had to get an extension lighter which is a pain in the butt, but overall it was necessary. I went to home Depot to see if I can buy something like this but they didn't have anything remotely close. You kind of have to work around it. Do your own little thing, but you're only able to like one grill at a time. So once I looked at Amazon I noticed that this device was available. It does come with three four even five or six prongs depending on your grill, at the time I did not know my girl had four because it has a side burner on the side which I don't use that much unless I'm doing like a ribeye steak. So I order the wrong one for my grill but it was okay because I didn't need or used the side grill. Very easy to hook up. You go ahead and take off the nut. Pull it from the back, disconnect all the cables and then connect them into your new setting. The only thing that I would say is make sure you remember where all the cables go. If you connect one of the cables that you're not going to be using then you're going to find yourself. One of the grills is not going to be working because of compatibility. So make sure you are aware of where each strand of electricity cable goes to on the grill. That way you turn on the one you want but that's only because I bought the one that wasn't for my grill. I was missing one. Therefore, I made the mistake to connecting one in the wrong place. I had to follow the line to see which was the one I needed. If you buy the right prong with the right number for your grill then you won't have this problem. Just connect all of them and it should work. I like the design, very simple plug and play and push it back into through its hole. Connect bolt with the button. Make sure you put the battery in there as well and everything works as new. I need to order a new one now this time to make sure that I get my five prongs. That way all my igniters work at the same time. Depending on how many igniters you need, the item itself is bigger or smaller, but because it's all sitting behind the grill face, you don't see it anyways. And you should have the amount of space you need for the burners that you have. Anyways. As far as look, I did go with the simpler look but I've noticed that they have a more modern look with the stainless steel. So depending on your knobs on your grill and if you want to match that same look, you can always upgrade to the better looking knobs but that's optional depending on what it is that you know you want to do. As far as working it shouldn't change anything. It is all she's visually aesthetically appealing.

Oh Yeah the Grill is Back On!
Yes! It actually fit the case of the original product so my grill is back! Get that spark going again and replace your old one. Fairly easy to replace.

Works well, but NOT exact fit
I have the 2-burner Charbroil grill (Model #463630021) and bought this to replace the starter that died. While it DOES work, it is slightly bigger than the original and will not fit in the metal casing the original sits in. So I installed it quickly/easily without the casing and *works totally fine* -- just not an exact fit.

Replaced Char-Broil 463347519, Had To Use Dremel To Expand Hole
I used it to replace Char-Broil 5 Burner (4 plus 1 side) Grill Model Number 463347519 ignitor which only lasted 13 months using it twice per week. This replacement will not fit this model number, nor most Char-Broil grills without first using a Dremel to expand the hole. This replacement takes a AA battery as opposed to the original AAA battery so you need to expand the hole on the front so it will fit. Before you buy look at your old ignitor and count the number of wires attached to the back (not to be confused with the number of burners!!) and order the one with the correct number of wires. Disconnect the wires from the back of the broken one by gripping them lightly with a pair of needle nose plyers and wiggle gently back and forth until they come out (takes 30 seconds). Remove the battery cover from the broken one, then use the needle nose plyers to remove the retaining nut. (takes 30 seconds) Now comes the hard part, at least on my Char-Broil 463347519 grill and that is getting the old one out. You have to wiggle out the broken one out the back and its metal heat shield surrounding it either together or separately and slide it along the channel until you get them out. (takes 2 minutes of struggling and manipulating and a couple of swears). Save the heat shield because the replacement could melt as happened to one unhappy reviewer. Next used a Dremel to expand the hole slightly so the new one can fit. (takes 5 minutes). Next you need a hack saw to widen the opening on the front of the heat shield so the bigger replacement can fit. Hold the shield with the plyers as you saw. (takes 5 minutes of grunt work). Then you got put the new one back in anywhere on the channel you can get in and then slide it until you can pop it into place. Put the new one in by itself or with the heat shield installed or however the heck you can do it. (takes 3 minutes of struggle and several swears). Reconnect the wires (takes 30 seconds). Lock in place with retaining ring, install AA battery and battery cover (takes 30 seconds). Total job for this Char-Grill model takes about 15 minutes if you have Dremel ready and fully charged (if battery powered), have a hack saw and needle nose plyers. In the future, replacement will be easier and quicker because the hole on the front is already expanded and the heat shield is already expanded. This replacement for 10 bucks saves the 50 bucks (including shipping) the manufacturer wanted, so saved 40 bucks. With the AA it seems to spark more powerfully and lights quicker. How long will it last is the unknown, but if it last 2 years probably good and will replace it again with this for another 10 bucks.
