save my hands!
I am starting to get arthritis in my thumbs and that is a key muscle for holdling a paper back book. These book holders mean that I can hold my book lightly or even just lay it in my lap or put it on the table, or prop it up and read relatively hands-free. It is a little fiddley to change the page, but I have been through 3 books by now and it is second nature. And my hands feel great! And, yes, the books were great reads...

works well. holds book open with minimum of fuss. lightweight. my only complaint is the cost ... seems overpriced
