Good seal but make sure to leave screws loose so it can travel up and down and conform to the floor.

I tagged this as One Star because the product shipped did not match the image shown. I was purchasing this product for only the rubber insert and I was going to throw the frame edge away.Product is of good quality, however the product shipped is different from the image shown. The image shown shows the rubber insert of a "T" design on the edge that slips into the metal frame. However, the product shipped is of an "L" design, which will not fit my installed frame.If you are putting on the whole bottom door edge and insert, you should have no problem.

I've installed these on 1 3/4 inch doors, for which they are designed to be used: The device itself is 1 3/8 inches deep, but, as there is no inside lip, this does not preclude you from using them on full-depth doors and, in fact, other sites' write-ups claim them to be for either size door.The advantage to these over the U-channel, wrap-around type are that you don't have to remove the door to install them, something I was going to have to otherwise do. That's a big win. I have this type that have been on some of our exterior doors for 30 years without problems. There's no real lateral pressure ever applied, so there nothing threatening to tear them off.

Did the job

The aluminum extrusion is well-finished but I was hoping the gasket would have been a soft rubber, Instead, it's a somewhat stiff pvc (in July). I put a 10 lb barbell weight on it (see photo) with almost no deflection. I don't think it will survive winter. This is based on other PVC sweeps I've had.
