Straight cuts, easy to use.
Prompt delivery and excellent Quality. Runs smoothly and performs excellent cuts in my 22 gauge steel sheet. Very satisfied.

Good value- just grab a voltage converter and go nuts!
For the price it's quite a deal vs the US 110v at around $440.00. Just pick up a voltage converter 500W or better to bring it down to 100v and keep your tools life where it was designed to operate. This is what I grabbed but there are many choices. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L56PYZS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

where have you been all my life.....
first rate. easy to use and makes straight cuts. I used it on aluminum diamond plate and i was very pleased with the results. OK, let's admit that I'm not a tin knocker, but compared to a nibbler, this is a great machine....

This IS NOT a 120 Volt power tool
The specifications for this product CLEARLY state this is a 120 Volt tool. I ordered this tool twice and received 100 Volt tools both times. This is NOT COMPATIBLE with the U.S. power grid. Operating the tool with 120 Volts will seriously shorten the tool's life.

Japanese Market Tool
The one I received seems to be made for the Japanese domestic market, not intended for export. I live in the US, but I expect no problem using it here. I only just received it so I only have initial impressions. It seems to be extremely well made. The cutters are replaceable carbide inserts that can be rotated four times (maybe 8 if the back faces are also sharp) before being replaced. The cord is silicone, I think, and is very flexible, with an EPDM strain-relief. The case is glass reinforced nylon 6 and the motor head is cast aluminum with a very smooth finish. The guide plate is polished stainless. It's labeled made in Japan, model JS1602. The plate is in Japanese except for the 'made in Japan' note. As noted by other reviewers the thumb switch is a bit finicky when you try to lock it 'on', but I expect I'll get used to it easy enough.

Be aware - it is rated at 100V
This shear is designed for use in Japan where their electric outlets are 100 volts, not 120 volts as is the case in the US of A. My rating is not 5 stars because the advertisement clearly states 120 volts in the specifications (they may correct this so I have included a screenshot for reference). The data plate on the shear is written in Japanese and clearly states 100V. The plug is two prong & is compatible with US outlets. However, the shear works fine at 120V and unless you intend on heavy use it should be OK (I suspect it may overheat under heavy use). If you are concerned, you can put a 10 Ohm 100 watt resistor (mounted to a heatsink) in series which brings the supplied voltage down to a bit less than 100V when in use.All in all - a great tool and you can't beat the price. They shipped promptly. Cuts 18 gauge stainless cleanly.
