Has Pouch: Will Travel (Best Triangle Tamper-Proof removal set on Amazon)

I was very frustrated searching for something like these. Most of the gigantic security tamper-proof bit sets only include 1 or at the most, 3 triangle bits (and 100 other ones you didn't need!)Most other triangle bit screwdriver "sets" - come with 5 screwdrivers of exactly the same size.Thankfully, Silverhill Tools has 5 screwdrivers, 5 sizes: *And* they are long enough to reach most recessed screws. The Good:-Inexpensive!-5 Sizes!-Color-coded!-Handle caps rotate! (Push down with your palm, twist with your fingertips and save your wrist a little.)-Pouch!The Bad:-The handles feel slightly cheap (would love rubberized but I wouldn't expect that at this price.)-Would be nice if there is an extra-long version of these for really, really recessed screws. The Ugly:-None.Complaints about this set are likely going to be in the ridiculous category.1) If you complain about ergonomics, you're probably crazy. Triangle tamper-proof screws are rare. Nobody uses triangle screwdrivers that often for it to matter.2) If you do find yourself needing to use these often, you should have bought bits instead of screwdrivers (so you can use an auto-screwdriver and save your wrist.)3) If you break them, the company actually cares (and welcomes general feedback, wow!). Let them make it right.***Note: The blue one opened up a Precision NuWave Induction Cooktop like a charm. (A portable electric stove burner.)A must-have kit for any repairs-person or scapper.

Very Useful and Hard to find Locally

I had 2 space heaters that need to be cleaned. They have 6 screws to remove the back to clean the inlet screen and unfortunately two of the 6 were Triangle screws. One was so bad I had to recycle it as because it would no longer work and I became frustrated. When the second one got bad, I drove more than 30 miles visiting local hardware stores taking the heater with me and none had any idea what tool was needed. After searching the internet, I found this set. The pictures clearly showed me this design is what I needed even though I had no idea how to determine the correct size. I took a chance and I bought the set, thinking I could always return them if it was wrong. The larger driver was exactly what I needed and fixed my problem.Maybe I am a tool-a-holic, but I believe if you need it once, you will need it it again....someday...and I was right! They work on some game consoles and many electronic devices which I would have taken to a repair shop previous to having this set of drivers.I concede the quality could be improved cCONSIDERABLY if they had hardened and magnetized tips! Maybe there is an American company making them? I do not know (I was in a rush). I would like to get a complete set of higher quality AMERICAN MADE drivers. But These will work until I find them.To summarize: Unless you know where to get a better set, BUY THESE BEFORE you need them. They will work fine short term.

Triangle Head (4pc Set) by Silverhill Tools

Bought this for some light use on various toys around the house. It's come in handy more than a few times, and I've had no issues with it. Ergonomics can be kind of a relative thing, but for me they feel natural and comfortable in my hand and the freely spinning heads(on handles) make it easy to use.It says hardened steel tips and I haven't had to put it to the test yet with my few repairs though I do see very light signs of wear/warping around the small sharp edges. With my light use I also can't say how well the metal shaft is attacked into the plastic handle or how long it'll last under heavier torque.Stats:Handles = ~3.5"(o/a length) typical plastic. ~5/8"x~6/8"(LxW) pivoting head. Textured grip visible in pictures.Metal Shaft = 5/8"x1/8"(LxW) with impressed/engraved sizing by tip.TA-18(Red) = .079"(~2mm)TA-20(Blue) = .091"(>2mm)TA-23(Grn) = .106"(~2.5mm)TA-27(Orng) = .126" (~3mm)I like the set, happy with the purchase especially since it was hard to find, and it's a fair price. Only time will tell if a little more torque and use will keep it's worth.

Works

I got an old motorized Cranky from Thomas the Train on a flee market, which my 5 year old son loved. Of course it stopped working as some electrical wire broke lose, and for some reason it had these triangle tamper proof screws. I mean, why would you put tamper proof screws on a kids toy!?But thanks to this, dad became a hero by opening the toy, re-attaching the electrical wire, and hence fixing it.Also in all seriousness, considering you probably won't be using this daily, this is actually a good deal. You get a whole set of sizes, and the quality is pretty OK. Not like the ones in my expensive toolbox, but then again how often does one expect to use these. I do expect the toy to break more often, so I'll probably get some good use out of it.

A Very Useful Set of Screwdrivers

Ever notice how alot of products are now made with triangle heads? Ever notice how you can't turn these screws with normal screwdrivers (no hex, phillips, standard, etc that I have ever found turns these screws). Ever notice how NO ONE carries triangle head screwdrivers - and I've asked - not Home Depot, Ace, Menards, or any other national or mom and pop store I've ever walked in to.I was thus THRILLED TO DEATH to find the Triangle Head Screwdriver set from Silverhill Tools. I can now fix several toys/christmas ornaments that my kids have broken and boy am I happy. In addition, I thought the $10 price was very reasonable and I liked the ergonomic spin head when I was turning the small screws. The set has four different sizes of triangle heads and is a MUST HAVE for any handyman (or carrying parent) out there!
