Quality
I rarely leave product reviews, but with this tape measure I felt it worthy of one. It is very high quality, durable and much better than expected. It reminds me of how things used to be made. Highly recommended.

Horrible diameter tape
I have been buying these d tapes for 14 years and the quality has slowly been declining. This is the last time I will ever buy one of these "forestry suppliers inc" d tapes. I ordered this one in early December and it started grinding a little bit around christmas while marking a big black walnut timber sale. After no more that 500 trees it literally jumped apart on the ground while I was winding it up. I strongly Reccomend ordering something more durable. I will be exploring my options and will never buy one of these tapes ever again for the rest of my career.

Small light weight
Great item saves weight over std issue items for forestry work. The only issue is that the tape pin does not stay in designated spot and no way to hook on vest or I would have given a 5 star review

Do not recommend
I have used these tapes for years, but when I purchased this one, it only made it through two small-scale tree inventories before falling apart. When I tried to get help through Forestry Suppliers, they said it's sold by a third party (NCR supply) through Amazon. There is no way for me to contact that company. I don't know what has happened to the quality of Forestry Suppliers products, but I'm finding I can't use their products any longer.

This is the biggest piece of junk its been misfortune to buy in memory. 1, There's no loop/clip to hook this to you. 2, The tape isn't spring loaded 3, No hold tab on tape. .....so think about it, instead of being able to hook the end of the tape to the butt and walk down the tree limbing as you go, you now need another hand. Completely useless for intended purpose.
