NOW Foods Supplements, NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) 1,000 mg, Free Radical Protection*, 120 Tablets

I just started taking NOW Foods NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) supplements this week, so it's too early to report on personal results, but I'm optimistic based on what I've heard! Several of my friends with chronic inflammation issues have been raving about these, calling them "miracle workers" for liver protection and reducing their overall inflammation. The capsules are easy to swallow and I haven't experienced any digestive upset, which was a concern I had when starting any new supplement. The NOW Foods brand has a good reputation for quality, which factored into my decision to try this specific NAC product. I'm taking them consistently as directed and plan to give them the full recommended time to work before making any judgments. My main goals are supporting liver health and addressing some joint inflammation I've been experiencing. I'll definitely come back and update this review in a few weeks once I've had enough time to observe any effects. For now, I'm cautiously optimistic based on the experiences of people I trust!

It's been only a month since I started on this self-prescribed supplement and I am already seeing some benefits, like less brain fog, more balanced and calm moods and overall wellness (or a feeling akin to that). I cannot say if it is all this is attributable to NAC, as I must add here that I quit alcohol prior to starting on NAC...so it could be that factor as well. May be on 3 months I should be able to figure out better. But so far...it seems to be working. My main goal was to protect my liver , as I had been experiencing severe abdominal pains prior to quitting alcohol......

Great supplement and I have been using it for quite some time.

I’ve noticed a trend in supplement labels. These are 1000 mg per tablet, which is what I wanted. I have compared them to other supplements that, at first glance, seem to be a better price. Looking closer at the labels, however, I noticed that other products will say 1000 mg “per serving,” which typically is two tablets. So the actual amount of the supplement is half of what is in these. These seem to be beneficial, and the price is excellent given the actual content per tablet.

No criticism with the product at all, I just underestimated the size of the tablets (previously consumed smaller 750mg tablets and capsules). I'm not good with big tablets, however can get them down with something viscous like orange juice.

After listening to the Huberman Lab podcast, I purchased a bottle of the supplement. However, after taking one pill, I woke up extremely dizzy. I stopped taking it, and after half a day, I felt fine again. A week later, I tried again, but 8 hours later, I experienced vertigo-like dizziness. I immediately stopped taking it, and it's clear that the supplement is causing this reaction. Unfortunately, I can't return it.
