I can't stand the way iTunes transfers them to my smartphone. These are not purchased and have less meta-data. I shouldn't have to sync and push every file through iTunes hoops to put it on a listening device. I have spent hours being frustratd with the inconsistent ability to push files onto a smartphone. Thus, dedicated mp3 players are cheap and act like an external drive. Drag 'n drop, done. However, many mp3 players don't have variable speed, and many old-school teachers talk too slooowww...so I have to speed them up to get through the recordings. The AGPTEK 16GB Portable Music Player allows me to speed up listening by about 30% (rough estimate). Even iTunes won't do that if it thinks an mp3 is music, and not a podcast or audiobook. Just got it, don't know how long the battery lasts and haven't tried to use the Bluetooth. Still, I am very happy to instantly put a dozen files on the mp3 player quickly and easily. This will be my new dedicated teaching listening device (or lecture, or whatever other files I need to listen to for my study and teaching prep). Review: As Close to the Sansa Clip+ as You Can Get Today - This is a spiffy little unit, with excellent sound quality, a solid feel, and good navigation, at a decent price. Gosh, how I wish I had stocked up on Clip+ units when they were selling for $30. This is still the best stand-alone mp3 player ever made: lightweight, superb, and solid mechanical button navigation that seemed specifically designed for podcasts, right down to hiding empty directories. But now their batteries are dying, and you can't buy a new one for less than $150. AGPTEK's M13 is as close as you'll get to it: much heavier, and with twitchy navigation: look at the display the wrong way and you've skipped through the track. (Hint: always tap the power button after you've started the track, which means you've got to tap it again to get navigation back.) And you'll find yourself wasting time in empty directories. Plus, there's no clip or wrist band--just a hefty rectangle you'll have to hold onto or stuff in a pocket. So, until Sandisk gets its act together with the newer Clip versions, which don't hold a candle to the Clip+, or better yet, simply start manufacturing it again, the AGPTEK M13 is the best you're going to do. Update: After using this unit for a few months, I downgraded it to 3 stars: the navigation is very annoying; if you even look at the touch keys the wrong way, they fire off, it's mandatory to lock the pad when not operating the keys. There is only a single, slow, scroll feature within a file. Finally, and worst of all, the keypad becomes unstable and completely unusable in the rain. I've gone back to using my old Sandisk Clip+, which, senile as it is, is still far superior to this unit.

Good for the price
This mp3 player is decent for the price. I ran into a problem where some mp3 files from the SD card did not show up in the song list. I solved this by moving them from subfolders into the main SD card directory. The other files in subfolders showed up without an issue, so it's a weird, annoying little quirk. Menu navigation is somewhat annoying. Everything else seems to be okay. I bought another mp3 player for a similar price several months ago and it was a piece of garbage, so this one gets high marks for value from me.

It will play your Itunes with a little work.
Like the title said, it will play songs purchased from Itunes. However, ITunes software is non compatible. All it takes is someone who is intermediate computer literate. You will need to convert your Itunes songs to AAC using Itunes software. next, using Windows explorer, go to folder location of new AAC file. Be sure to plug in your AGPTEK player to computer USB. In explorer, you should see AGPTEK listed under this pc. Drag copy or move file from folder to AGPTEK. If you don't know how to drag copy files in windows refer to Youtube. AGPTEK size: approximately 2 Ipod shuffles end to end. Screen size: 2 inches(5.08cm) tall, 1.5 inches(3.81cm) wide - approximately Touchscreen: bottom buttons only. Volume controls: 2 buttons +/- left side Power button: right side Mic: right side Memory slot: right side Earphone jack: bottom Micro USB: bottom The body is matte black possibly aluminum. The front and back are glossy plastic. Sound quality is fine. The earphones it comes with are adequate. It has a built in volume slider. I switched mine out for a crisper sounding Sennheiser CX 1.00 The Radio seems clear. I haven't used that feature much. The control buttons are responsive. I did not used alarm, timer or other features. I would not recommend for video or pictures. The screen is pretty low resolution. It is great for listening to music. My only suggestion for improvement is wake upon pushing volume controls. It's worth what I paid for my intended use.

A piece of junk and they will not replace as advertised
Totally messed up interface, would not work, Chineses writing would pop in and extremely poor battery life. On their Amazon ad they state: "NOTE: If you meet any problem with the MP3 Player within 12 months. We will offer a new free one and you don't need to return the MP3 player. Please send us an Amazon message through your Amazon order, your emails will be answered within 24 hours in workday!" But they jerk you around stonewalling and will not replace as promised. A fraudulent company

Purchased 2 units for my daughter and I, easy to download music and quality of sound is very good. Construction is sturdy and easy to operate. Supplied earphones are comfortable and Bluetooth function works well. It's a basic unit but definitely good quality and money well spent.

It was very easy to setup with my CD's - but note - you need to make sure that all your songs even though come as MP4 off the CD - when transferring to the MP3 Player select from the Windows Media Player the option selection convert to MP3 and all will be good and they will load quite quickly on the AGPTEK MP3 Player.

Excellent value for a very good quality product, which comes in a very handy light size. Very easy set up and easy to use. Internal storage + from a micro SD is very handy. The sound quality from the headset, +(equaliser option) and possible high volume is amazing, also when connect other headsets via bluetooth. This player is a very recommended product for music lovers on the go.
