Beautiful presentation. Strange pace
Loved this book but found some info was very deep. Almost too deep. The author will explain a lesser known early Rolex and all its iterations with lots of photos. When he gets to the explorers which could have an entire book written about its heritage there are a couple of photos and the history reads something like “Rolex wanted to make a watch for explorers so they made the explorer and they updated it in 2011”. No mention of the different versions, dial colours etc which is a bit bizarre considering the yachtmaster got several pages with text that looks like it came from promotional material. Explanations of the bezels, different case sizes etc. I enjoyed it but found the book went from info overload to fluff that felt lifted from the Rolex website. Definitely worth a look though and a stunning coffee table book. Just don’t expect to learn anything about the Explorers though.
