## Description

JENOLITE Rust Shield Clear Lacquer Spray 500ml Clear Coat Spray Paint | Protects Against Rust & Corrosion On Metal, Ideal for Cars, Motorcycles, Paintwork, High Temp Resistant 180°C Spray Lacquer : desertcart.co.uk: Automotive

Review: Easy to apply, dries fast, and gives great protection - I used this Rust Shield spray on a metal filing cabinet that I’m repurposing for outdoor storage for BBQ tools and accessories. I put on four coats, and it was genuinely easy to apply — smooth spray, no clogging, and it dried fast between layers. The clear finish looks good and gives the cabinet a solid protective coating against the weather. If you need a simple, reliable way to protect outdoor metal surfaces from rust, this stuff works really well. Strong coverage, quick drying, and no hassle.
Review: Smooth even coverage - Coated well, giving an even and smooth coverage. I used to stop copper pipes from tarnishing and so far it has done the job. Use in a well ventilated area, as the fumes are quite strong. Package arrived quickly from supplier.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this comparable to fluid film?**
A: No. This is a more permanent and hard set formula, it does however have a certain amount of flex in it.

**Q: Can this be used inside a strawberry pot? Will it leach chemicals into the soil that will get into the fruit?**
A: Don't use a pot that can rust would be better

**Q: Would this protect Mild steel garden artwork**
A: Not sure, maybe not Hardy enough for the depths of winter. My mum uses a lacquer spray from Lidl on her garden ornaments

**Q: If I end up spraying a bit far out than the area that needed it, can it be cleaned of with something and what would that be?**
A: Paint remover would be suitable.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Smooth even coverage

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Promising

How can one rate durability a week or so after receiving the item? That's why I've given only 4/5 as overall rating; it might be worth 5/5. The task I've assigned to the Rust Shield is quite tough: protecting a model biplane, made of ungalvanised sheet steel, and out in the garden in all weathers. The product was easy to apply and there was enough in the can to give the little plane four coats. After a few days of wettish weather there's no sign of rust. Without the coating I can guarantee that the whole thing would have been yellow with rust. But I'm looking for a couple of years' protection. We shall have to wait and see.
