Question 1

Why does it say "hepa style" or "hepa type" filter on all alen products? its not a hepa filtration filter? other units/filters will just hepa filter.

Accepted Answer

I'm sorry, but Alen Corporation is incorrect and is falsely advertising this product, if they are claiming that they do not use the words "True HEPA," as "J" from Alen Corporation claims in his reply to this question. As of 2-26-2020, the description for this product on Amazon absolutely says "True HEPA". It reads: "Alen Replacement Air Filter for BreatheSmart Classic, True HEPA VOC Filter for VOC's, Smoke, Chemicals, Allergies, Pollen, Dust, Dander and Fur by Allen." I originally purchased this product, believing that it had a "True HEPA" filter. If there is a difference between "True HEPA" and True HEPA VOC," then that difference needs to be clarified.

Question 2

What is the smallest particle in micron size that this filter will capture?

Accepted Answer

Dear Scooby,Thank you for reaching out to us.The smallest particle that the Alen BreatheSmart Silver Carbon Filter will pick up is down to .3 microns. That's fine enough to capture bacteria and many viruses. Super fine dust of any kind is 2.5 to 10 microns.Should you have further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.Thank you for choosing Alen as your clean air provider and have a great day.Best Regards, JanellynAlen Dealer and Marketplace Coordinator

Question 3

Why do you tell me that my order will be delivered on the 28th, then the 29th, then the 30th and now Nov. 1st? My confidence in Amazon is waning!

Accepted Answer

Appears to be like this everywhere. Staffing shortages everywhere. Relax.
