Java Planet - Manual Burr Coffee Grinder with Ceramic Conical Burr Mill - Stainless Steel

I got this grinder because we love fresh ground coffee, and want to be sure we can have it, even if we're camping or have a power outage. It's much quieter than my electric grinder, which is also good because it doesn't wake my kids up when I'm up really early and need some coffee.It was easy to change the grind texture from fine for espresso to coarse for French press. It's really easy to use, and transport. It's a great manual grinder.

I’m very satisfied with this grinder. I purchased it for camping/traveling. I roasted some beans and tried out the grinder. I used a middle setting for the grind. At first I was a little concerned about the handle (nothing holds it secure), but it was sturdy and worked well. Very easy to grind with little effort. I used a stiff brush to clean it, but to really clean it requires disassembly making it a little difficult. I would recommend.

The Java Planet Compact Manual Coffee Grinder grinds nicely for making one or two cups of coffee. You need to decide whether to have a finer or coarser grind and make that adjustment first. Once I did the adjustment, I added the coffee beans and manually ground the beans. It is very easy to use and I plan to take the grinder along with the Java Planet Pour Over Coffee Dripper with me on my business trips because I like a great cup of coffee in the morning and afternoon!!!

As a coffee grinder this is a joke. 5 straight minutes of manual grinding for 2 tbsps of ground coffee. Its a good thing I'm active and live out in the woods, most people would give up and head to the nearest coffee shop before they made enough grounds for a cup. I guess if you're camping and you MUST have freshly ground coffee and you have the time to spend 10 minutes in the morning manually grinding, it might be ok. For me, if I'm going to spend 10 extra minutes grinding in the morning I don't want it to be my coffee if you know what I'm saying. 2 stars because it seems decently crafted and I'll be keeping it as a spice grinder, which seems to be the most appropriate purpose for such a slow grinder.

Love this product very great idea to make coffee camping or even at home to get a fresh blend and you never have to worry if the electricity is working! Very good if you have children you won’t have to worry about them getting ahold of the blade on a electrical one or grinding something they shouldn’tAll done by hand easy to grind and doesn’t take very longI suggest this product

It’s perfect if you are traveling somewhere. It’s extremely easy to put together, and some manual churning and voila! Fresh ground beans for your coffee. Good for individual cups of coffee.
