Perfect fit, 03 forester
The alternator bearing in my 03 forester went dry and was making some very uncomfortable noises and showing variable charging voltage when tested. This popped on on my search just in time. One day after I ordered it, it sounded like there was a cat fight under the hood of my car on my way home from work, the bearing had given up and the alternator seized as soon as the car was turned off. The next day the alternator arrived. It took me less that 45 minutes to put it on and get adjusted, and now the car is just as quiet as the day it was new, and the test shows that it's charging consistently now.

OEM Fit and Quality
Just like the Subaru one it is replacing. Very well built and zero issues installing it. My charging system is now working as it should. The original Subaru one lasted for 18 years and 126000 miles. No way of predicting this one will last as long but initial impressions are that it should.

I was really pleased with this alternator. It shipped quickly and is well made. It installed easily and actually looked better than the OEM version. And the price was very reasonable compared to Advanced Auto Pats and AutoZone which basically had only re-manufactured version in that price range. I would highly recommend this alternator and company to anyone looking to replace their device

Fit a 2004 Subaru Forester 4cyl (non turbo) -- just fine.
I had an original Subaru alternator on a 2004 Forester -- kudos... it was still working after 200,000 miles. Me and my mechanic could hear the bearing going ... so preemptively, I ordered this Brand New Alternator. It's not OEM, but way cheaper, and it's NEW, (not rebuilt that's -- they sell you at the autoparts store) The output voltage seems stronger vs the old wavering unit we replaced, and it went on smoothly. With this quality and this price, I see no reason to tempt fate on a high mileage car!

The box was empty!!!!
I received my package today and the box was empty. No damage was showing to the box. I am very very upset over this.
