Blackout Window Privacy Film Decorative with Tulip Design, Removable Black Out Tint for Home, 17.5" by 78.74"

Got this for my daughters room to replace blackout Panels we had previously installed. She also has blackout curtains but those apparently don’t do enough blocking of light and since she must be part vampire, she wanted something more. The panels I had up before were also something I got from Amazon and while they worked great, one side of them is silver and it looked so bad from the outside. This just looks like a dark window from outside so it’s perfect. The install was easy and straightforward. I like that it’s easily removed if she changes her mind and there won’t be any residue. Great product

This is a really nice way to blackout the windows of a room and have a bit of decorative class at the same time. The film is easy enough to install and seems to hold well. My only complaint is the width of the material where in most cases, and especially in my case, one has to apply multiple strips across large windows in order to cover the full width. Not such a huge deal except for the fact that you have to find the repeated pattern and try to align the next panel with the previous one to where the pattern matches as not to look trashy. As a result you also tend to waste material when cutting off the overhanging laps after getting the pattern aligned. So make sure you factor in waste when you calculate how much film you need to cover your own windows.

My husband works from home. His office is perfect for him except for one thing: the windows get the afternoon sun and it shines directly into his computer screens. We had been covering the windows with cardboard but I wanted a more permanent, and more attractive, solution. This blackout vinyl is perfect! It comes in a large roll so we have extra if we ever need to reapply it. The instructions are clear and it even comes with all the tools you need to apply the vinyl sheets. I was not crazy about covering the windows in black vinyl, but the flower design made up for the black. And most of all, the sun no longer shines onto my husband’s computer screens. I highly recommend this product.

THIS WAS VERY EASY TO INSTALL.I WAS HESITANT THINKING I WAS GOING TO MESS SOMETHING UP BUT IT CAME OUT EASIER THAN I THOUGHT.JUST MAKE SURE AND SPRAY PLENTY OF SOAPY WATER WHEN PLACING THE CUT OUT FILM ON THE WINDOW.THE REST IS EASY !MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOU MEASUREMENTS. THE ONE I ORDERED WAS NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR MY WINDOWS. I HAD TO ORDER ANOTHER SET TO FINISH MY PROJECT.

What makes this stand apart from other blackout devices is this. This actually is applied to the windows surface itself instead of being a blackout curtain, which hangs in front of the window and can have light peak through the sides of the curtain. Installing it takes a little bit of time you may need to cut it to size and then installing it Very easy with a spray bottle. Once it is applied to the window, it is good to go. Another great thing about these is that they are actually Hable and can be applied again and again to other windows that may need it. Again, will take a little bit of time to install, but once complete, you will be happy that you spent the time to do it. Highly Recommended.

So If you live in a area where it rains heavily, I suggest installing on the inside of your window as I have had a bit of difficulty with getting them to stay on in serious weather. Also the reason I gave 4 stars is mine is not actually black it has this weird blue purple tone to it that while not necessarily unpleasant was not the color shade I was expecting. In my case I like it more but if I was looking for plain black, I would be disappointed.

This privacy film is perfect for my bedroom windows. My husband works third shift so he is sleeping when it's broad daylight outside. He likes the room dark, and though we have blackout curtains, there are always those spots where light peeks through the edges. This film has solved that issue. It's very easy to apply and works as well as the other privacy film I have in our dining room windows. I don't even use soapy water, just foam, aerosol window cleaner. Works perfectly. It looks pretty as well. Overall, I'm happy with this.
