Surrealism isn't for everyone. However, it is a period of art history which can be traced to the emotional and psycological trauma of the first world war. Surrealism taps into the uncounconscious, the primal and the fantastic. While I don't agree that all 50 of these works are worthy of my attention, it has introduced to other artists of this period.
