ONE OF THE VERY BEST....
I bought several different magnifiers, trying to find one that would work for my elderly step dad. I sent him four different ones, and this one is by far his favorite. He loves the three different light choices, and even though he is almost completely (legally) blind, he can read labels using this magnifier. The size, the batteries, and the double glass do make this magnifier somewhat heavy - but the rim around the glass is fairly thick, and by placing your pointer finger under the rim (Just above the handle), I find that it is easy to hold. I know this, because I actually bought one for myself, after he raved about it. I have a rectangular 4x magnifier (folding handle) that I carry in my purse which I also love, but this is my favorite at home - the warm light setting really lowers the eye strain for me, when I have to read a lot of fine print.

This magnifier is working well for my Mom with macular degeneration.

Switch doesn't work
The magnification is very good. The lights are very bright. The problem is that the switch doesn't work ! I put the batteries in and instant blinding light, so bright it gave me eye pain. I pressed 4 times to turn it off and nothing happened. I clicked all of the combinations given and nothing happened. I had to remove a battery to turn the lights off. Except for the non functioning switch I would rate this a *5.

Works for Mom
Purchased this for my mom who is vision impaired and has macular degeneration. She is very happy with it.

Poorly made / Lens fell out and broke
This working fine for a while until the plastic ring that was hold the glass lens fell and and so did the glass lense which shattered all over my tile floor. This is not well made.

Great choice, awesome quality.
Bought for my mother who has macular degeneration. She absolutely loves this!! She calls it her Cadillac magnifying glass.

Poor quality mirror.
The reflected image is distorted and the LED light can not be tureen on or off...you have to take the batteries out.

Loose Batteries Often
Size and lighting are fine. The batteries (especially the one on the left) are constantly loose, so they have to be reset in order for the magnifier to light up. I bought this for my mother (age 96) who is blind in one eye and has very limited vision in the other. The device is great WHEN IT WORKS!
