Moen 97462 Monticello Replacement Shower Handle Knob Insert, Chrome

I have the Moen Monticello faucets and shower controls in two bathrooms and they were all chrome except for this piece which was polished brass. The polished brass made the bathroom look a bit dated (in my opinion), so I replaced the handles with these and they now look brand new! I paid $20 per handle which was not only much cheaper, but a whole lot less work than replacing the entire faucet. The old handle comes right off and these screw right on in less than 60 seconds. This works on the shower control as well as the lavatory handles.

Our bath faucets were still in good condition but had outdated gold handles. Screw these on Moen faucets. Nice heavy weight to them. Easy way to upgrade our bath faucets.

Yes, this is an actual Moen handle, which will exactly replace yours, if yours is damaged or you're trying to switch from, say, gold to chrome. I'm only giving it 4 stars because of price/value--I think it's a lot to pay for what it is, although I suppose there are significants costs associated with keeping parts like this in production and inventory.

Solid metal - fit perfectly - took 30 seconds to install. Made in the USA! The first image shows the replacement piece next to the broken, porcelain handle (probably lasted 20+ years, so really we can't complain). The second image shows the installed handle.

As advertised good deal

I have the Monticello shower handle/valve that is mainly chrome, but had the brass colored handle knob. We wanted to get rid of all the brass color,so I bought this replacement knob as well as the accent (AT2099). It screwed on easily and changed the whole look of the assembly. I would definitely recommend rather than replacing the handle/valve assembly.

Good product as described

Have a Moen shower system that is 21 years old. It works perfectly however, the existing ceramic handle knob insert over time had deteriorated and thought that the whole system may be to be replaced because of the age. However, very excited that I was able to locate and replace just the handle.

Product worked as listed. Shipping was slower than advertised but did eventually make it.
